Trump's Potential Attorney General Should TERRIFY You

Mike Davis, a Republican lawyer whom President-elect Donald Trump is considering to be his Attorney General, has a problematic far-right past.

I'm going to be heavily involved on the transition. I want to make sure now that we know who the real players are, the people who will actually deliver on the president's message to the people who don't think that they know better than the duly elected president of the United States. I want to make sure that those people are in his cabinet. [00:00:17] I want to make sure that those people are in in this administration. Well, there's Don Donald Trump Jr, making clear that he wants to ensure that Trump's cabinet is full of lackeys who will do everything that his father wants them to do. [00:00:32] And we do already have some indications of what the cabinet might look like. In fact, Siouxsie Wiles has been chosen as Trump's chief of staff, and now we're getting some word that he might choose someone by the name of Mike Davis as his attorney general, although that has not happened yet. [00:00:51] It's just what people are suspecting and what's being reported on right now. So let's talk about who Mike Davis is. Let's give you an example of one of his posts on X just from yesterday. He says, here's my current mood. I want to drag their dead political bodies through the streets, [00:01:09] burn them and throw them off the wall. And then in parentheses, he says, legally, politically and financially, of course. He also wrote f unity. We have the votes and they they tried to kill Trump. Unclear who they is. Is he referring to Democratic politicians? [00:01:31] Is he referring to the whole of the Democratic Party? There were two assassination attempts against Donald Trump. The first guy didn't even really have a clear political identity or clear motive. The second guy did. But was he encouraged by Democrats to try to assassinate Donald Trump? [00:01:46] Like, what does that mean? - It means he's a lunatic. - That's what it means. Who talks about dragging the dead political bodies of political opponents and then says, oh, just we'd like to ruin them legally and financially and use the power of the government to destroy their lives unfairly. [00:02:02] Fairly, but I'll use an analogy which is already horrific. Horrific. But I'll use an analogy where we murder them. But I don't know why they call us fascists, though I have no idea. I'm so offended that they call me fascist. - I'm going to drag. - Your dead body across the streets. [00:02:17] Why are you calling me fascist? Why are you catching feelings? I don't know, gee, I can't figure it out. If that's not bad enough, we got worse for you. So here's Mehdi Hasan talking about Davis in November of last year. Let's hear what he has to say. Mike Davis, he's the man many in Trump's inner circle, including his own son Don Jr [00:02:35] and Steve Bannon, are pitching to be the country's next possible attorney general. Earlier this week, over on my Peacock show, I dove deep into the conservative lawyer's record from Davis's threats to send journalists to the DC Gulag, to his repeated calls on social media for his followers to quote, arm [00:02:52] up against the violent black underclass. And it appears I may have struck a nerve. Davis has since responded to my monologue from earlier this week, pledging to indict me when he's A.G. Aged. For what? I'm not sure. But he's also threatened to send me to the DC gulag. [00:03:09] Now, Trump himself has said on the record, quote, we want him meaning Mike Davis in a very high capacity. Davis has responded to reporting about him, stating that he wants to serve as Trump's viceroy. [00:03:25] If you're unfamiliar with what that means, let's take a look. The governor of a country or province who rules as a representative of a king or sovereign. But look, he usually claims that his [00:03:40] statements are meant to troll the left. And I want to give you the context in which he mentioned wanting to be a viceroy for Trump. So before Bannon went to prison, this is according to a reporting from the Washington Post, he noted Davis's busy schedule on his War Room podcast, saying, quote, you're [00:04:00] out there giving talks, conferences. Davis is everywhere as the next Attorney General of the United States. Davis. Played along. I'm going to be Trump's viceroy of DC because I don't like democracy. He quipped, I want more authoritative, authoritative powers. [00:04:16] But he absolutely does have a thirst for revenge, and he isn't shy about it. So I want to be clear. In that same Washington Post report, they write that Davis abides by what he calls the dead chicken strategy, which he says he gleaned over lunch several years ago with Thomas [00:04:34] while clerking for Gorsuch Supreme Court justices. Davis often recounts Justice Thomas's story of growing up on a Georgia farm and his family wrapping chickens the dogs had killed around their necks, and those [00:04:50] chickens rot around those dogs necks. Those dogs lose the taste for chicken, Davis said in an interview this year with far right activist Jack Posobiec. In a similar way, Davis asserts that Republicans should take all these bogus allegations against Trump [00:05:06] and wrap them around the necks of his opponents with a storm of new indictments if he retakes power. I think he's 100% serious about that. In case you're wondering what he what Mehdi Hassan was referring to, Davis tweeted this morning, Hassan is now on my list to indict, [00:05:25] detain, denaturalize and deport. I already have his spot picked out in the DC gulag, but I'll put him in the women's cell block. So, if he's kidding, it's not at all funny. And he's not for a small position. [00:05:42] It's the attorney general, the person who decides our top law enforcement officer is saying, I'm going to arrest Mehdi Hassan for opposing our political candidate, Donald Trump, and I'm going to put him in a gulag, and I'm going to deport him, [00:06:01] even though he's an American citizen. Okay. In a best case scenario, that's a disaster. In a realistic scenario. Well, when the fascists say, oh, we're going to kill you, we're going to deport you. And then when they do it, everybody gets surprised, like, oh my God, I didn't know [00:06:18] they were really going to do it. How much clearer does he have to be? Look, maybe they don't pick him for attorney general, but they're going to pick him for some very important post. Donald Trump told you he just we just read it to you. And if they pick him for attorney general, they will. Absolutely. He says they're going to arrest their political opponents. [00:06:35] And God help you if you're Muslim because you're going to oppose Israel and Donald Trump. Why did he pick Mehdi Hassan out of everybody? So now I got to go home and tell my family, hey, [00:06:52] maybe we'll get deported, I don't know. So maybe we'll have to figure out what we're going to do. So these people are monsters. There's a reason why we call them fascists. So that's. This is exactly what a fascist says. And then every time they do it, people go, oh my God, [00:07:10] no one could have seen it coming. They only told us exactly what they were going to do. So a few more biographical details about him. He has served in the executive branch. Actually, he's served in all three branches of government previously. [00:07:26] Let's go to graphic nine here. Davis has served in all three branches of the federal government, including for president. President George W Bush, the Justice Department. House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and current Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. Davis also led the outside support team for Justice Gorsuch's successful [00:07:43] confirmation to the Supreme Court. A lot of the work that he's done in recent years focused on getting conservative federal judges, you know, nominated and confirmed, so and he has been very successful on that. And he currently serves at the University of Iowa Political Science Advisory Board. [00:08:05] So he's had a political career, and it's interesting that he's been putting out these inflammatory and violent statements again. He claims he does it to troll people. But, you know, we're having a lot of conversations right now about increased political violence and how people need to be more careful with their rhetoric. [00:08:22] You know, if that criticism is going to be directed toward Democrats, I think it should also be directed toward individuals who say things like this. And who say things that are 10,000 times worse than what Democrats said. So imagine if Kamala Harris said, oh, this person might be my attorney general. [00:08:39] And they said, we're thinking of locking up Christians because we don't like them. They criticize Kamala Harris. We might deport them. Okay. Any of those garbage MAGA guys, they dare criticize Kamala Harris, and I'm going to arrest them and put them in a gulag. Do you think that the Republicans would have been like, oh, they're just joking. [00:08:56] They're trolling. It's no big deal. Biden accidentally said garbage. They lost their goddamn minds. If a Democratic potential attorney general said 1% of this MAGA would have just gone nuts. Nuts, right? This guy says like, yay! [00:09:15] And what happened? MAGA? I'm so curious what you're going to do if they actually do this. And you said your whole life for the last 4 or 5, ten years. We're about freedom. Freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of speech. - I hate. - Cancel culture. [00:09:32] If they start canceling people by literally arresting them and taking away their freedom because they spoke out against Trump or Israel or whatever, you don't want them to protest. And then you let them take away that fundamental right of American citizens, [00:09:49] and you let them have the US government tyrannically oppress its own citizens. Well, then we find out who you really are. Because if you don't let them do it and the base turns or even a portion of his base turns, and that scares Trump a little bit. [00:10:08] Well, then I'll give you all the credit in the world. Then you meant it. And a tip of the hat to you. But if you go. - Oh, yeah, you arrest them. - Deport them. Okay, then you were the monster fascist racist that the Democrats always called you. So we're going to get to find out I'm not in MAGA, [00:10:26] so we're going to find out who you are. MAGA. We're not just going to find out who Trump is. We're going to find out who you are. So let's see if you have any morality, if you have any honesty at all. And if you meant one word of what you've said, or you are the racist, fascist scum [00:10:42] that they always called you, I don't know, I don't know. You're going to tell us. The other potential pick for attorney general is Ken Paxton, the current Texas attorney general. And he is. Yeah, he is. I mean, he's someone who's so egregious in breaking laws that Republicans in the [00:11:02] state of Texas tried to get rid of him. And unfortunately, it didn't work. But we'll see. We'll see who Trump ends up picking. I think both options are awful. Absolutely terrible. So that's where we are. All right. We've got a few minutes left. Do you want to read some comments? Yeah. [00:11:21] Look, before I get to it, Trump is a effing mystery. He he's fickle. He changes his mind all the time. He wants to be popular, but he loves money and and people who kiss his ass. [00:11:36] He loves criminals. That's a that's a that's baked in. Ken Paxton, you know who saved him? Trump did. So the other Republicans in Texas, deep right wingers as right wing as you can possibly get. They're like, yeah, but he's actually robbing our own citizens. [00:11:52] We don't want him to rob our own citizens. That was in the house. And they went to the Senate to convict him. And Trump came in and said, no, I love criminals. That's a in fact, I might make him a US attorney general because he's not looking for to pick him, because despite the fact that he's a criminal, he's looking [00:12:08] to pick him because he's a criminal. He wants to have that guy. He's like, oh, you got no ethics, no morality. Then that's your perfect for my attorney general. Perfect. Bill Barr, scum of the earth, had an inch of morality. He's like, God damn it, I didn't want any morality. [00:12:26] This guy has 1% morality and didn't want to help me destroy America. Get him out of here. I want someone with no moral core at all. So we're going to find out who you are, Donald Trump, and we're going to find out all of your fans who they were all along. Were the Democrats lying about you? Were the mainstream media lying about you or were they 100% right? [00:12:45] Because in the second term, there's going to be no brakes in the car at all. One of our members, I'm too mad here to find the exact comment, but one of our members said, oh shoot, now I'm mad and hungry and lost my train of thought. [00:13:02] But they're asking basically like, is is he really going to do this, guys? We don't know until he does it. Okay. And so but last time around, he had the establishment that said, no, we shouldn't violate the Constitution. No, we shouldn't do martial law. No, we shouldn't do all these lunatic things that you want. [00:13:19] And this time around, they're not going to be there. It's only going to be ghouls and goblins. So I know Donald Trump's a criminal. I know he loves to take other people's money. And for himself, he's I know he he had Roy Cohn. He went to him as a role model, one of the worst people [00:13:36] in American political history. So I know who Donald Trump is. But the question is, does he love being loved and adored more than he loves criminality and lies and eat well? Ego is part of that, both right and money, etc. And we don't know. [00:13:51] But God help us because it's entirely possible he goes in this direction. Hey, thanks for watching the video.
