Scott Jennings CRASHES OUT Live On Air
CNN's Scott Jennings erupted at Adam Mockler over a debate about the Iran war.
- 14 minutes
I debated you on TV four to six weeks ago and
you said we were weeks away from it. Now you're
making condescending remarks because you can't
defend the fact that this war is not going
your way. Wait one more time. uh Whoa, what
the hell was that? Why did it get so upset
[00:00:18]
over that? So when I saw the headline, I'm like,
I can't wait to watch this tape and well, maybe
we'll have to Zapruder film it. The hand goes
up and to the left, up and to the left, right?
His hand wasn't even close to Scott Jennings
face. So what you're going to see in this story
[00:00:34]
is why Scott, the real reason Scott Jennings
caught feelings over that. And one has to do
with what happened in the segment. The other
has to do with something that didn't happen
on that set at all. It's actually something
that was related to a guy we had on the show
[00:00:51]
yesterday. Interesting, let's find out. Fascinating,
yes. Okay, so that was yesterday's edition
of CNN Newsnight where Scott Jennings was having
a difficult time. uh Cenk is probably in this
segment going to be pretty critical of Scott
Jennings. I'm going to try to balance things
[00:01:09]
out by pointing out that Scott Jennings was
forced to sit next to Adam Mockler, who's
not only a good debater, but definitely has
the vibe of a person who randomly punches people
without any notice whatsoever. So Scott Jennings
had probably been terrified for some time.
He'd already voided his bladder an hour earlier.
And at any second, he might get hit by Adam
[00:01:28]
Mockler. So anyway, I don't know if it's something
happening at home that's bothering him, why
he so easily triggered Scott Jennings, but it
was a bad day for him. And not just because
of the fear of physical violence, he also did
a really bad job of uh making his case, or
I should say, making Donald Trump's case, cuz
Scott Jennings is not contractually allowed
[00:01:47]
to have his own opinions. Anyway, let's go
back to Adam Muckler and the case that he wants
to make with rhetoric, not with fisticuffs.
Here he is. Donald Trump is very impressive.
He's taken his two largest campaign promises,
no new wars and lower prices, ending inflation,
[00:02:04]
and he's messed both of them up. He started
a new war that spiked inflation and now this
war is actively failing. An interesting statistic
is that Americans have spent collectively $23
billion extra on the gas pump. And that's money
that could have gone towards daycare, towards
[00:02:20]
childcare. We'll sit here and you'll laugh
at Americans spending money, but the reality
is we are failing this war. The purpose of a
war is to extract political concessions from
the enemy. Can you name a single political concession
we've gotten from them? Anything at all? Are
you talking about any political concessions?
You can't name one. here's what we're doing.
[00:02:38]
Political concessions. When you get past your
bedtime, you get hyper. Here's the deal. What
is the idea that Adam Mockler is really young
is supposed to undercut his point? It just
makes you look even worse vis a vis Adam Mockler
that he made a great point. He could have gone
even further and he could thrown in that Donald
Trump implied that he was going to bring to
[00:02:55]
justice the worst sexual predator of American
history. Instead, it was exposed how compromised
he was by that same network of potential blackmail.
But he brought up the war, he brought up the
inflation. Those are both devastating points.
And Scott Jennings' entire reason for being
is to go up there and just say what- I don't
know, Carolyn Levitt will say the next day
[00:03:13]
and he had nothing. He had nothing, okay? He's
gonna try I guess, why don't we hear a little
bit from him? We have a clear issue here.
We have a clear issue here. No nuclear weapons
[00:03:28]
for the largest state sponsor of terrorism in
the world, period, full stop. The president
believes and he may be right, I spoke to a-
retired rear admiral today, Mark Montgomery,
who's at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
They think the blockade is actually more effective
[00:03:45]
than the military campaign. And a little patience
on the blockade here, where we cripple the
Iranian economy, where we kill their currency,
which is happening as we speak, where we put
pressure on China because they need to get
their oil flowing again. A little bit of patience
right here, not bombs, but patience on a naval
blockade, could get the outcome you want, which
[00:04:05]
is no nuclear weapons. the largest state sponsor
of terror. And you've been saying this for
eight weeks and we are now past the four to
six week deadline. Where is the enriched uranium
right now? It's under rubble. Where is it right
now in the United States or Iran? Iran still
has the enriched uranium. They still have the
scientists scattered across their country and
[00:04:22]
they have all the blueprints in the cloud. And
obviously we'd all be better off if the JCPOA
had never been taken away. And yeah, that was
just that was pathetic. was facile was just
that he's got nothing. Donald Trump did not
campaign Cenk on no nuclear weapons for Iran
[00:04:39]
and I will do or kill anyone I need to to make
sure that doesn't happen. I'll go to war if
I have to, I'll tank the economy if I have to.
That is not what he campaigned on, because
had he tried to campaign in that way, he would
not be president right now. Scott Jennings,
of course, on some level knows that, but his
job requires him to pretend to not understand
[00:04:58]
it. What do think? Yeah, so Scott Jennings
is a fascinating caricature on television,
right? So he has to both be completely wrong
and completely condescending at the same time.
It's a tough act to pull off, big ups to Scott.
So he's like, everybody knows this is about
[00:05:22]
nuclear enrichment, you know that? They're not
allowed to have nukes. Hey brother, I know,
Yes, again, sorry older voters and viewers,
this is not about you, okay? But people who
are watching cable news are on average about
70 years old. so for, although I don't know
[00:05:42]
why they haven't caught on from the time you
were 30 to the time you're 70. Israel's been
telling us that Iran is about to have a nuke
in a couple of weeks, and they still believe
it. So I guess that's why he's saying it on
CNN, but no one else believes that. That is
the most ridiculous.
[00:06:02]
Do you want them to a nuke? Okay, come on man.
This is some Condoleezza Rice throwback nonsense,
okay? So it's embarrassing. and then, We're
winning, what are we winning? The blockade
[00:06:21]
is working, working for what? Is our gas prices
lower? What does it mean that it's winning
and it's working? Look, one of the biggest
problems with political media right now isn't
just bias. It's how quickly the same story gets
spun into two completely different realities
[00:06:37]
depending on who's telling it. That's why I
recommend Ground News. It's a website and app
that pulls together reporting from across the
political spectrum so you can compare how the
same story is being covered, who's covering
it. and what kind of narrative they're pushing.
Take this story about Pete Hegseth refusing
to rule out US troops on the ground in Iran.
[00:06:55]
On ground news, you can immediately see how
differently outlets frame that same development.
The Daily Signal downplays the danger by stressing
that this isn't Iraq and that the war won't
be endless. NBC meanwhile, focuses on the key
fact that Hegseth would not rule out American
[00:07:13]
boots on the ground in Iran. Same story, two
completely different realities. And ground
news makes that obvious right away. You can
compare headlines side by side, see the bias
distribution of the coverage, check the factuality
ratings of the sources, and even see who owns
[00:07:29]
the outlets behind the reporting. That matters
because once you understand how stories are
being framed, you start to see how public consent
gets manufactured. Ground news also has a blind
spot feed that highlights stories that one
side of the political spectrum is barely covering.
[00:07:45]
So you're not just trapped inside the version
of the world your algorithm wants to feed you.
If you're tired of being fed somebody else's
narrative, I genuinely recommend ground news.
Go to ground.News slash TYT or scan the QR
code. Using our link gets you 40 % off ground
[00:08:03]
news vantage plan and you can also gift a subscription
directly through ground news. What did we
gain out of it? So Adam asked exactly the right
question. What concessions have we gotten from
the Iranians? And the answer is literally zero.
In fact, since the war has begun, Iran has
[00:08:22]
gone from potentially conceding things to asking
for more things. They're like, now we're going
to charge for you going through the Strait of
Hormuz. Thanks a lot for the war. Now we can
make $2 million a ship. That's our new concession.
It's not a concession, it's the exact opposite.
[00:08:38]
And that's why Trump's flailing around. He's
like, I reject the offer, and I'm winning.
We almost won. So okay, fine, so Scott has
to mimic Trump, but in the annoying condescending
uh way that he does on it. Okay, but there's
a second entity that Scott Jennings works
[00:08:55]
for, not just Trump. In fact, just the night
before on Wednesday night, he was on with Ryan
Grim in a different panel and Ryan was on with
us last night. And uh I want you to watch
this clip and I didn't know a part of this.
And so this is what might have actually got
[00:09:16]
under Scott Jennings skin. And so the very
next night that he's on, he's itching to launch
on someone because he had no answer for what
Ryan said here, watch. This is not personal,
but there is so much kind of money pouring
in to push us in that direction. Even Salem
[00:09:39]
media where you do your show, right? uh Brad
Parscale, who is the chief strategy officer
there, is a registered foreign agent for the
Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I think
it's American, right? Salem, yeah. It's an American
media company whose chief strategy officer
[00:10:00]
is a foreign agent registered for the state
of Israel. 30 % of this company is owned by
Larry Trump and Don Trump Jr. So before we're
talking about like, what is America? Who should
[00:10:19]
be an American? It's like, can we as Americans
discuss this? Let's get Scott's response. Yeah,
so you seem to have some issue with Israel having
a presence in the United States or even on
American- I think we should be sanctioning Israel.
Even on American universities. I think they
[00:10:36]
should be sanctioned, yes. That was a right
wing crowd. They're speaking at Young Americans
for Freedom. And it rise like, yeah, of course
I have a problem with Israel, they should be
sanctioned. like, Scott's like, wait, wait,
wait, wait, everybody bow to Israel. Why aren't
[00:10:54]
you bowing? Why aren't you, Salem, have I done
well? Dear overlord, Mossad agent that I work
for. Have I done well on television? pushed
Americans into war. I don't know why the right
wing kids won't go along. You're supposed to
die for Israel. That's what I get paid for.
[00:11:10]
And so when he sees another young guy, Adam
Mockler, and now embarrassing him on national
television, he's like, that's why he's like,
your head away from me, you young whippersnapper.
You won't even kneel to Israel. I've been kneeling
to Israel my whole life. Why won't you guys
[00:11:27]
do it? Why am I the only one humiliated like
this? That's my sense of it, John. The only
other thing I want to add is when Ryan Grim
points out, yeah, it is a little bit strange
that the chief strategist would be a registered
foreign agent for a foreign government's foreign
policy. And he's like, but it seems like you
don't want Israel to have a presence. Well,
[00:11:46]
first of all, how about they have a presence
in their own government? They can have that
and we can have a presence in our government.
How about that? Are there any like- Israeli
media companies that are owned by US foreign
agents? I have a feeling not. And as you always
say, what if it was a different country? Where
this big up and coming media outlet, turns
[00:12:07]
out has a registered foreign agent in Turkey,
or Mauritania, or Estonia. The only one that
you're supposed to pretend it's not highly suspicious
would be if uh they're getting paid by Israel.
And he asked again, it's just he pretends so
much. It's got to be so exhausting to be him
[00:12:27]
to never be able to say anything you authentically
to believe to constantly have to remember
the long list of things that the person who
pays your checks forces you to say and forces
you to pretend is reasonable. It's got to be
exhausting. Okay, last thing. It's like, John,
I'll run with your analogy, right? Like Kazakhstan
gives money to 94 % of our Congress and
[00:12:49]
Kazakhstan. has gotten us to invade Tajikistan,
Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, right? And they're
like, no, no, it's a coincidence. And Kazakhstan's
gotten $300 billion from us. Then Kazakhstan
does a genocide. go, please, please. Both the
Democratic president and the Republican president
[00:13:05]
say, please let us pay for the murder of all
those Tajiks, right? It's our pleasure. It's
our honor to do it. And then Kazakhstan loyalists
have bought off 80 % of our media. have foreign
agents running at radio stations, etc. And then
somebody goes, so you got an issue with people
[00:13:24]
from Kazakhstan? No, I have an issue with Cossacks.
My issue is that in that analogy, they bought
our entire government and our media and are
driving us to spend trillions of dollars for
[00:13:39]
their maniacal wars. And if you can't understand,
Scott Jennings of course understands that he's
a bought bitch. That's why he's like, are you
an anti-Semite? Did I do well, daddy? Did
I do well, daddy? Did I get my check, daddy?
Where's Israel's foreign agent? I need to
[00:13:56]
report to him. Yeah, that's what we have a problem
with,
