Trump PLAYS DUMB When Asked About Mark Robinson, The Self-Described 'Black Nazi'
Former President Donald Trump told reporters that he didn't “know the situation” with North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson's unveiled comments on a pornography message board.
- 7 minutes
Are you going to pull your
endorsement of Mark Robinson?
- I don't know the situation.
- That's right.
Trump doesn't know
the situation with Mark Robinson.
The Republican gubernatorial candidate
in North Carolina that he is close with
and has been friends with for some time.
[00:00:16]
So Forrest Show in America
will remind you who Mark Robinson is.
Mark Robinson
is an anti-abortion extremist
who supports total bans without exception.
Described the LGBTQ plus community
as filth is a Christian nationalist
[00:00:35]
who said there's no room in America
for other religions,
and recently was discovered
to have called himself a black Nazi
on the Nude Africa forums.
And that last point is the most
recent controversy for Robinson,
which has led to some Republicans
calling for him to drop out of the race,
[00:00:52]
except undermining Trump's claim
that he doesn't know the situation.
Is Mark Robinson,
who said this two days ago.
From President Trump.
We've spoken to him,
had great conversations with him,
but we have chosen to do that.
And because we want to make sure
that he wins this state.
[00:01:09]
Of course, Trump knows
the situation with Mark Robinson.
He has for some time campaigned for him,
advocated for him, endorsed him
and said this about him.
Take a look.
I think you're better
than Martin Luther King.
I think you are Martin Luther King.
Times two.
[00:01:27]
And he looked at me and I wasn't sure.
Was he angry?
Because that's a terrible thing to say.
Or was he complimented?
I have never figured it out,
but I'm telling you, he's one of right.
When I said that to you, you look like.
I don't know if I like that comment.
[00:01:42]
You should like it
because you are outstanding
and you're going to be the next governor.
- So that's going to be very cool.
- Now, in response to Trump's comments,
the Harris campaign issued a statement
saying it's impossible to believe
that somehow Donald Trump missed the news
about his hand-picked candidate
[00:02:00]
for governor, calling himself a Nazi.
Trump has been to North Carolina twice
since the news broke and is still standing
by Robinson, even as the people who know
Robinson best are abandoning him.
New polling shows that Robinson
is trailing his opponent, Josh Stein,
[00:02:15]
by 17 points, but that's brutal.
But many Republicans
will look past Robinson's comments,
his past, his controversies, everything.
And Trump knows exactly the type of person
who will help Robinson
get potentially across the finish line.
[00:02:31]
Take a look.
You got to get out and vote, but you got
to help him financially because you're
all people that have a lot of money.
I know plenty of you
and you're rich as hell, so anything you
are going to do it quadruple it.
It doesn't mean it's just, you know,
but let's go somebody
[00:02:48]
that we have to be very, very careful.
We have to cherish.
We have to cherish. Mark.
He's a star. You have to cherish him.
It's like a fine wine
because that's what you have.
You have a fine wine.
He's an outstanding person.
I've gotten to know him so well
and fairly quickly.
He knows him well and fairly got got
to know him fairly quickly.
[00:03:06]
Hey, don't scroll away.
Come back, come back.
Because before the video continues,
we just want to urge you
to lend your support to TYT.
You power our honest reporting.
You do it at tight.com/team
and we love you for it.
If you know a person really well and they
say that they talked to you recently
[00:03:24]
and there's a giant national story
about how he called himself a Nazi, you'd
think maybe you look into it a little bit.
I mean, you've had over a week now.
It's not like it happened yesterday.
So has Trump looked into it?
Of course.
And he doesn't want to back away
from an endorsement that he gave.
[00:03:43]
So guys, people keep using the word
the phrase black Nazi because Mark
Robinson said that on on online. Right.
But forget whether he's black,
white or whatever he is.
He called himself a Nazi.
There's a Nazi running for governor
in North Carolina, by the way,
[00:03:59]
also against a Jewish candidate.
Kind of awkward. Okay.
But I according to Trump,
there's good people on both sides.
So now it's not like Jordan and you other
crazy things he said, but not all of them.
He also said wooden women
shouldn't be allowed to vote, and he said
[00:04:16]
that before Donald Trump's endorsement,
that wasn't the latest controversy.
Donald Trump knows
that Mark Robinson thinks that women
shouldn't be allowed to vote, and he said
he's Martin Luther King Times two.
And he said in the comments that just
came out that he was pro slavery.
[00:04:34]
It doesn't have to make sense.
I mean, half of the political leaders of
MAGA are or should be in mental asylums.
Herschel Walker was literally mentally,
you know, I don't I don't want
to be insulting, I don't know, deranged,
sick, unhealthy, whatever you want to say.
[00:04:51]
This guy is obviously unhealthy.
Brother, I don't know if you know this.
I don't know if you own a mirror.
You're black, okay?
And this moron thinks, no, no,
no, it's okay, I'm Uncle Ruckus.
I'm going to be fine.
In fact, he said he'd like to own
a couple of slaves.
Now, we all know this.
The whole country knows
this guy wants to bring slavery back.
[00:05:09]
He's running
for governor of North Carolina.
And the Republican Party is like,
Atta boy, let's bring back slavery
to North Carolina.
How is the entire Republican Party
not gotten rid of this guy?
And Trump's like, no, I'm good.
I'm not even done.
He also said that you should
kill people you disagree with.
[00:05:27]
And Trump has not unendorsed him.
So hey MAGA, if you can't figure out
why we think Trump's a madman,
it's things like this.
If you can't find enough courage
to denounce a Nazi.
Well, then you shouldn't be overly
surprised when we think you're deranged
[00:05:45]
and potentially dictatorial.
I spoke to somebody in who's a reporter,
a peer of ours, and he is
pretty well sourced in Trump world.
And he said that right now they
have no the Trump people have no idea
[00:06:01]
how to figure out
whether or not Robinson is hurting them.
And the by pulling an endorsement.
Would that hurt Trump even more
in that state or not?
And that's just unbelievable that that's
where we are in politics today, where
[00:06:16]
somebody called themselves a black Nazi.
Somebody said all of these things,
and you're wondering if it would hurt you
to pull your endorsement from that person,
not endorse them,
but pull your endorsement.
And, you know, again, many of the people
I spoke to in North Carolina online
waiting to see the former president speak,
[00:06:32]
said to me that even if some did say
that if the allegations are proven true,
that they wouldn't be able
to vote for Robinson.
Most people didn't believe
the allegations,
and some said even if they were true,
they couldn't vote for Josh Stein.
They would vote for Robinson. Yeah.
Look, I got to say last two things here on
that because one, it's absolutely amazing
[00:06:52]
that there are not sure
if Republican voters would prefer that he
stay with the Nazi or get rid of the Nazi.
Wow.
That is more damning of Republican voters
than anything we have ever said on air.
[00:07:08]
And we didn't.
We're not the ones saying that.
Apparently they're having an
internal conversation with the Trump team.
That's how monstrous they think
the Republican voters are their own base.
And then secondly, even if it hurts you,
you might want to denounce the Nazi.
But that thought has never occurred
to Donald Trump.
[00:07:25]
Oh, that that he thinks
that not only is he a Nazi, he says there
should be no room for any other religions.
Jewish, Muslim, Hindu. It doesn't matter.
No room. Only room for Nazis.
And he's like, yeah,
but how does it affect me?
That's why Donald Trump
is a terrible person.
