Cenk RAGES At Benjamin Netanyahu's UN Speech
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that the "long arm Israel" can reach the entirety of the Middle East in an U.N. address.
- 20 minutes
I have a message
for the tyrants of Tehran.
If you strike us, we will strike you.
There is no place.
[00:00:17]
There is no place in Iran
that the long arm of Israel cannot reach.
And that's true of the entire Middle East.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Obviously in that video
was speaking to the General Assembly
of the UN earlier today.
[00:00:33]
He was addressing
in that video, obviously, Iran,
whose diplomats were not there, of course.
While he's addressing Iran,
they were launching attacks in Lebanon,
which we will be, of course, discussing
in great detail later on in this,
this episode of the show.
We want to give you a little bit
more of his remarks
[00:00:50]
where that topic actually did come up.
As long as Hezbollah chooses the path
of war, Israel has no choice, and Israel
has every right to remove this threat and
return our citizens to their homes safely.
And that's exactly what we're doing.
[00:01:06]
And we'll continue degrading Hezbollah
until all our objectives are met.
So there he is saying that so long as
Hezbollah keeps choosing the path of war,
then they have no choice, which is
generally what people say after they make
choices that are not necessarily popular.
[00:01:22]
Of course, this comes just a day
after he rejected a cease fire agreement
with that organization that the U.S.
Helped to broker, and Israel
also apparently was a part of now.
White House spokesman John Kirby
was asked earlier yesterday
[00:01:38]
why it is that they rejected this proposal
that they themselves helped to set up.
And John Kirby said this.
What prompted
the Prime Minister's comments?
Only he can say we wouldn't have
issued the statement we did if it wasn't
supportive of conversations we had
with top Israeli officials yesterday.
[00:01:54]
So John Kirby, professional both
spokesman, also diplomat, has no idea
why he's doing or saying what he's doing.
No theories. He's got nothing.
Netanyahu apparently is a total black box.
Can't read his motives.
Now, there are theories I think,
that we can speculate about.
[00:02:11]
Here is one.
The far right National Security Minister
Ben Gvir said Thursday he had informed
Netanyahu that if a temporary ceasefire
with Hezbollah is agreed to,
his party would not vote
with the coalition, and if the ceasefire
became permanent, then his party would
withdraw from the government,
threatening Netanyahu's hold on power.
[00:02:28]
So if you take that seriously, if you
believe that that's a credible threat,
then you could have the cease fire
that you claim that you want.
But if you get that cease fire,
you yourself might lose your power.
So I guess the war has to continue.
Isn't it amazing that so many conflicts
seem to rest almost entirely on
[00:02:46]
the continuation of political positions?
For just a handful of people
who get to choose who lives and who dies
for their own personal benefit.
Hey, don't scroll away.
Come back, come back.
Because before the video continues,
we just want to urge you
to lend your support to tight U power.
[00:03:02]
Our honest reporting.
You do it at tight.com/team
and we love you for it.
A couple of things here.
Number one if you you know you
heard a little bit of applause there.
That's more propaganda
from the Israeli government.
They brought in a whole bunch of people
into the gallery to cheer for Netanyahu,
[00:03:18]
because they knew that everybody else
that were diplomats at the UN
would hate his speech, because it was
a war mongering speech, as you saw there.
He said, the long arm of Israel
can reach anywhere in the Middle East,
meaning none of you are safe.
We've already bombed the capital of Iran,
the capital of Lebanon.
[00:03:34]
We've already destroyed Gaza,
bombed the capital of Syria.
We can bomb and kill any of you.
It was one of the most
evil speeches I've seen.
And it made me think.
Remember, guys, now it's easy
to look back at Mussolini, Stalin, etc.
[00:03:50]
And go, well, of course they were
comically evil, horrible black
and white issue and everybody at the time
must have also known.
Oh, that's the deeply evil Stalin.
The deeply evil Mussolini.
No. At the time, there was a discussion
and a debate as to whether Mussolini was
[00:04:07]
doing the right thing or the wrong thing.
In fact, there were people in America
that defended the fascists and said,
no, Mussolini is doing the right thing.
In fact, we should be more like Mussolini.
And so this is one of the most inarguably
evil leaders of our lifetimes
[00:04:23]
here coming to the UN, threatening it,
you know, more quotes in a minute
about how he called it a dark chamber.
I mean, he would know a thing
or two about dark chambers
and insulted it in every way imaginable
and claimed that Israel has been
[00:04:40]
sanctioned more than any other country,
not because it has committed more
war crimes than almost any other country,
but because those things,
even though they're facts you
should ignore and facts don't matter.
The only thing that matters
is he claims the entire UN
[00:04:57]
and the entire world is anti-Semitic.
It's not that they are starting
all the wars,
and they're creating all the problems
in his right wing government in Israel.
It's that, well, you know, if you guys
realize we're the best of the best
and you should all listen to us, and you
know that we could kill you at any time.
[00:05:16]
And that's all right in our prerogative.
And then you accepted that.
Well, then we wouldn't have
any problems at all.
You see how the problem
is yours and not ours.
- It's absurd.
- And we have that video.
If you'd like. Yeah I would.
Yes. Let's go to it.
The singling out of the one and only
Jewish state continues to be a moral stain
[00:05:34]
on the United Nations.
It has made this once respected
institution contemptible in the eyes
of decent people everywhere.
But for the Palestinians,
this un house of darkness is home court.
They know that in this swamp
of anti-Semitic bile,
[00:05:53]
there's an automatic majority willing to
demonize the Jewish state on anything
in this anti-Israel flat Earth society.
Any false charge, any outlandish
allegation can muster a majority.
[00:06:09]
Yeah. Okay, guys.
So first of all,
you should kick him out immediately.
They should, not him.
Israel should be kicked out
of the United Nations immediately.
You I mean, if somebody came to my house
and said, this is a house of darkness
and you are filled with hate,
I'd be like, get the hell out of my house.
[00:06:25]
You grab him by the scruff of his neck
and throw his ass out and say,
I dare you to set one foot in here and see
what happens with a long goddamn arm.
What are we sitting here taking?
Insults from this maniac for?
United Nations sits here. Okay, sorry.
And a whole bunch of diplomats walked out.
Of course.
[00:06:42]
Okay.
And second of all, much more importantly,
make Palestine declare Palestine
a state right now.
That's how Israel came to be
from the United Nations.
And so if the United Nations
was good enough to declare Israel a state,
obviously they
could declare Palestine a state.
Estate.
And every day that they don't, it's
actually deeply, deeply racist against the
[00:07:01]
Palestinians, saying that the only nation,
only people on earth who cannot govern
themselves, is that the maniacally
racist thing that America and the United
Nations and Israel agreed to?
And the fact is, yes, Israel and America
are that deeply racist
against Palestinians, Muslims, etc.
[00:07:17]
You can't govern yourself. You're savages.
That is the most obviously
racist thing I have ever seen.
And this piece of crap has the audacity to
talk about how the world is anti-Semitic,
because he's trying to start
the biggest war in the Middle East
that we've seen in our lifetimes.
[00:07:34]
And of course, what's he going to do?
He's going to come back and go,
no, I demand that America pay for it
and America fight it.
I order you to do it.
And oh, and by the way,
you're in a house of darkness.
And of course, he attacked progressives
and said that we're in league with Iran.
[00:07:50]
You don't come to America and tell us
that our citizens are terrorists.
And you're the good guy.
That starting a giant war
that we have to pay for.
This is. Look, I'm done with Netanyahu.
Any decent human being
would be done with Netanyahu.
And the fact that our government,
both Republicans and Democrats,
[00:08:08]
fawn over him and serve him slavishly.
It's disgusting.
And it's humiliating to America
and to all of its citizens.
So, no, I do not agree to any lie
from the American media or from
[00:08:24]
the American government about how this is
the moral army that has murdered tens of
thousands of women and children in Gaza,
that just murdered 600 people
in the middle of Beirut, and then is going
to pretend, oh, we didn't start the war.
What do you mean, I. He tried.
[00:08:41]
He's trying to kill
every leader of Hezbollah.
Okay. Now in America, you all believe.
Okay.
Oh, I heard from Dana Bash
and Jake Tapper.
Hezbollah. Terrorist.
Evil murder.
Murder. Murder them.
Okay. All right.
Now, why are they terrorists?
Because they have killed civilians.
We agree.
[00:08:58]
So now Israel has killed
far more civilians.
Ten times, 20 times, 30,
40 times more than Hamas, than Hezbollah.
So do we agree on the word terrorists?
If we do, then then Netanyahu has 40 times
the terrorists that Hamas and Hezbollah.
So if Hezbollah killed Netanyahu,
would we say, oh, yeah, that's normal.
[00:09:17]
So when Israel was trying
to kill Nasrallah, that's totally normal.
When Israel tried to kill
every Hamas leader, that's normal.
So if we kill, if they kill
Israeli leaders and their entire cabinet,
just like Israel is doing right now,
that should be normal, right?
No American media will say
dirty Muslim, savage terrorist.
[00:09:35]
Right?
When Israel does it like moral army.
Great, wonderful.
Here's money, here's money.
Here's here's 26 billion Americans.
Shut up and give them more money.
26 billion isn't enough.
They said 8.7 billion to this monster,
this fascist, evil terrorist.
[00:09:51]
Just yesterday. I'm sick of it.
How many more people
is he going to murder with our money?
Those are facts. So no, I know.
Shh. Don't say it.
Don't say it.
Because you're not allowed
to criticize Israel.
You can criticize everyone else on
the planet, but the special, amazing ally
[00:10:11]
that is so moral that he
can kill stadiums full of children.
We're not allowed to criticize
because of freedom of speech,
because we're a free country.
Does it look like we're free?
We're paying for his war crimes.
And I'm sick of it.
[00:10:27]
- J.R..
- Yeah.
As we're looking at the language that he
was using as he's speaking to the UN,
when you come in with that kind of
language and that aggressive and names are
getting called anti-Semitic bile that
flows from this place, what's the purpose?
This would always have to ask.
What is the objective here?
Just like these bombing campaigns.
[00:10:44]
What's the purpose?
They say it's to target
this particular leader,
but then they take out six buildings
and there's 300, 500 people dead.
The other day.
And they're now counting
the dead right now.
And injured as we go through all this.
So and even sending out pictures of
the moment that he called in the attack.
It's a very dramatic process, but it's
to make sure that it promotes him.
[00:11:02]
The whole purpose
of this and the reasons why.
Again, also, as you're talking about our
government and many of our leaders
are supporting all of this
is because it's based in politics.
Politics is the controlling power
that comes with it.
He got the warning from other folks in
the far right aspects of his government.
You know, we're not going to support you
if you don't continue to do
[00:11:20]
what we want you to do.
It's all based in politics.
If you turn if you're some kind of way
as an American politician,
a congressperson, senator, governor,
anybody wants to say something
that will get out of the normal process
of what Americans may think
of the right way to go about this.
[00:11:36]
Your political career is in danger.
So we're dealing with politicians.
It's like, you know,
if your profession is to be an engineer
and then you can't be an engineer anymore
because you have a thought about something
or you see reality for what it is.
You don't want to lose your job.
[00:11:52]
And that's across all of these,
from international leaders to our leaders,
and they're using those positions
of politics to get what they want
from whichever aspect it is,
from Netanyahu to people
that also tell him what to do as well.
So how do you how do you undo
that is the hard part?
[00:12:08]
No. You've both made great points.
I don't have much to add.
I just want to say,
because I know some people will be,
you know, they'll be they'll be angry at
you saying, how could you use these?
That'll be a.
First. It would be the the first time.
I think our comments
have always been positive,
but I'm worried that that tide may turn.
So I know a lot of people will think,
well, how can you use
[00:12:24]
these terms to describe him?
I mean, after all, as he said,
Iran has has attacked Israel
and Hezbollah has attacked Israel.
And that's definitely true.
And Hamas has launched attacks against.
That's true. That's true.
And every single leader
has always had some justification
for the wars that they start.
[00:12:40]
That's not new.
That's not unique, that's not special,
that's not interesting.
That's not brave.
That's exactly how it always,
always, always works.
Every single time.
And what you were saying about, you know,
how we get to the point of deciding
is this group terrorists,
is this country terrorist and all that.
[00:12:56]
Like I know some people obviously have
so much vested emotion
in this particular geopolitical situation
that they can't necessarily understand.
But like think about, you know, when we
when we were attacked on nine over 11
and then we invaded,
not even the countries that did it,
but other countries and killed
[00:13:14]
hundreds of thousands of civilians.
We're not terrorists.
And they attacked us.
Hey, we had a justification.
We used it.
We went, we did a speech at the UN
and we had a justification, and we
killed hundreds of times more civilians.
And we're not terrorists.
We're just not because we're powerful and
we're rich, and the media is on our side
[00:13:33]
and our media is part of us.
So that's how it works.
It's it's not a moral evaluation.
It's not like the definition
is just who gets to decide.
And again, none of this like I know a lot
of people that they probably think I hate
[00:13:48]
that these rocket attacks happen.
And I understand
that on some level you do.
But think about
what those rocket attacks also do.
They allow you to get to the mental place
where you get to be okay
with mass slaughter of civilians,
which is a difficult thing to do.
So isn't it convenient
that this allowed you to get there,
[00:14:04]
where you can look at 700 civilians
being blown to bits in a couple of days,
and it doesn't bother you anymore?
- Isn't that an amazing thing?
- Just like Hamas, by the way.
Just like the terrorists and Hamas and
Hezbollah, they say, hey, you know what?
The occupation of the Palestinians
is so brutal, so terrible.
[00:14:21]
Which is true.
Which is definitely true. 57 years
of the most oppressive, dictatorial,
brutal occupation of our lifetimes,
5.5 million people imprisoned
against their will in open air camps
[00:14:36]
by the Israelis for 57 years.
And they say, well, that is so horrific
that I've gotten like, I can't blame
someone for killing their civilians.
They vote for this occupation
for 57 straight years.
Now we say, don't do that.
That's terrible.
[00:14:54]
Don't ever take it out on the civilians.
Israel says, and the supporters
of Israel say, no, let's be hypocritical.
We should care about
the beloved citizens of Israel
who are the most holy, moral and valuable,
the most valuable humans on earth.
[00:15:10]
But the Palestinians were allowed
to slaughter their civilians.
The Lebanese were allowed
to slaughter their civilians.
There were only Muslims and Christians.
They're not important at all.
Their lives are not valuable,
and I'm okay with it.
And I've gotten used to,
as John was saying, I've gotten used to.
[00:15:26]
Israel gets to murder as many civilians
as they like and call it self-defense.
Hiding behind human shields
is exactly what Hamas and Hezbollah say.
They go, well, we had to attack their
civilians because they're the ones that
are there hiding behind their civilians.
[00:15:41]
Oh, we're a democracy. Ha ha!
We get to be dictators of you.
But we're a democracy.
We're hiding behind our civilians.
Now, I don't agree with Hamas.
Hezbollah or Israel.
Stop murdering the civilians. But no, no.
But guys, here's the thing
that you don't understand.
Sorry, I interrupted John,
but guys, they're like,
[00:15:59]
oh, why don't you condemn Hezbollah?
Well, first of all, I don't know
how many times I have to do it.
I did it like eight times
in this segment, right?
Okay. Why don't you condemn Israel?
No, it has to be one sided. You condemn.
I say that doing ten times
40 times worse is awesome.
It's fantastic. No. Then I don't agree.
[00:16:17]
Okay, if we say it's terrorism,
then you're a monster
for supporting that terrorism of Israel.
And in here in America,
just total blinders.
And anyway, American media
and American politicians are hopeless.
[00:16:32]
They degrade and humiliate all of us
with their obsequious servitude to the
right wing fascist government of Israel.
So no, you do not get to murder
and say I'm the Holy One.
I'm the moral one.
No, our lives are valuable
to other lives are valuable too.
[00:16:50]
Okay, I got to end here
because I'm super mad that this monster
was allowed to give a speech.
And then, like, there's.
Anyway, the American government
is not the reason I interrupted.
John is not giving money to Hezbollah.
They're giving money to Israel.
[00:17:07]
They're not giving money to Hamas.
They're giving money to Israel.
So we can condemn Hamas
and Hezbollah all day long.
And we do.
But our money isn't financing,
financing their terrorism, but our money
is financing Israel's terrorism.
[00:17:22]
And if you say no, Jake,
you are a bad person for saying exactly
for Israel doing the same exact things
as Hamas and Hezbollah,
but 40 times worse cannot be called
terrorism because it hurts my feelings.
The problem isn't me or the facts.
The problem is your so-called feelings.
[00:17:39]
Because you only care about yourself,
and you don't care about other human
beings being slaughtered with our money.
And then you go, no, my feelings are more
important than their children's lives.
No they're not, and I'm never going
to let you get away with saying that.
So this monster, Netanyahu,
should be condemned
[00:17:56]
by every decent moral human being.
He's the worst of us.
And I cannot believe that my money went
to that monster because of the historic
piece of crap evil failure
Joe Biden Joe Biden is not a sweet man.
[00:18:12]
Joe Biden is a man who funds genocide,
lies about it and lets this guy,
this one of the most evil men
of our lifetimes, run US policy.
A foreign leader runs US policy.
Now here, guys, a last thing I you know,
I do predictions on the show.
[00:18:29]
Why?
Because I show you how the system works
so that you could see it for yourself.
So if I'm wrong about all this,
then I'll be wrong about this prediction
because it's in the future.
I'm telling you right now that Israel,
in order for Netanyahu to keep his job,
[00:18:45]
as John said,
is going is in the middle of starting
an enormous war in the Middle East.
They've already attacked Lebanon
over and over and over again.
They've already hit Iran.
But the minute any Hezbollah or Iran bomb
actually lands in Israel, not fired
[00:19:01]
at Israel, but actually lands in Israel,
does even any damage, ten people killed,
it doesn't matter that there's 40,000
dead, 4140 2000 dead all around them.
Right?
Those lives aren't worth
anything to Israelis.
They're not worth anything
to the American government.
They're just Muslim and Christian lives.
They're useless.
[00:19:19]
Okay, but if ten Israelis die,
America and all of American media
will say Hezbollah started this war.
Iran started this war.
Attack, attack, attack.
And I guarantee you, they will make
us pay for their war, I guarantee it.
[00:19:34]
All right.
Now let's see what happens.
Let's see who's right and who's wrong.
I just told you ahead of time,
after Israel starts this war,
US politicians will all get on their hands
and knees and go, we have to.
We have to take all of your money
and give it to this.
Netanyahu guy
Because he has a right to defend himself
[00:19:51]
by attacking four different neighbors.
So all of your money get it ready to go.
Okay.
Save up, save up.
Don't spend it on vacations.
Don't get a new car because Israel
is about to start the largest.
No, they're not about to.
They're in the middle of starting
the largest war of our
[00:20:07]
lifetimes in the Middle East.
And they will definitely demand
that we pay for it.
And our corrupt politicians
will definitely say yes.
Everybody take out their paychecks.
You're going to give it to Israel
to start this war?
Guaranteed.
