voters really this stupid or is this some sort
of strange twisted misinformation campaign?
I don't know, but that's the question that we're
gonna have to answer more and more with their
online activity, particularly clustered around
Spencer Pratt. Because this strange trend
has been popping up on TikTok about what they
supposedly wanna do in support of this crystal
[00:00:19]
loving cook who's running for LA Mayor. Take
a look.
[00:00:51]
Okay, so obviously we had to change the music.
But honestly, I think that that fits Spencer
Pratt fans more than anything that was playing
in their actual video. That should be in the
background of all of his campaign ads. But anyway,
so that is a bunch of people from across the
country saying that they love Spencer Pratt
and his obsession with the magical healing
[00:01:12]
powers of crystals so much that they want to
drive or fly with gas prices being what they
are. to LA to vote illegally for Spencer Pratt.
Now, the question is how many of them are going
to actually try it and how many are just weirdly
vice signaling online. I don't know, they've
[00:01:28]
got some celebrities in the mix. James Woods
said, this would be wrong and you could get
in trouble when asked for your ID to vote. Wait,
nevermind, voter ID is not allowed in California.
And on a completely separate note, the best
freeway hours are 10 AM to 1130 AM, just saying.
[00:01:46]
It's a great joke and I love the use of AI.
This is what has become of art on the right.
He later clarified that he was being satirical.
But I don't think he is, I don't think he
knows what satire is. I think he like all of
these random crystal loving weirdos online,
[00:02:03]
think that you can just show up and vote. Because
all they have consumed is a fire hose of Fox
News slop for years. And they think, yeah,
no, you could just show up and vote. That's
not how that works at all. Yeah, we don't have
voter ID. There are still multiple steps to
[00:02:21]
verify that the right person is voting. You
can't just show up randomly to vote. That's
not how it works. And I think he got like he
learned that and he's like, I should probably
pretend that I was joking. So look, they could
potentially get in serious legal trouble if
anybody really chooses to do this. I also think
it's an amazing thing for them to be like bragging
[00:02:40]
or trolling over. when supposedly they care
so much about voter fraud and voter security
that they're willing to end our democracy in
support of it. But anyway, Sharon, what do
you think? I think it's just MAGA doing what
MAGA does to try to get under our skin as if
existing with them isn't enough. But I mostly
think these people are weirdos. They're either
[00:03:01]
some kind of I was put up to it and paid off
and bought type thing, but who really does
this? Who gets on there and is so involved
in this whole Spencer Pratt thing that this
is what they're doing. I think it's just to
troll the rest of us and people who are fed
up and overworked and overtaxed and overburdened
to say, look what we're do to you now. And
[00:03:21]
I don't know, maybe I should take the bait,
but I'm just not going to, I'll just put them
in the weirdo bucket. Yeah, well, I think they
put themselves in the weirdo bucket. I mean,
they're supporting literal Spencer Pratt in
this particular case. Spencer Pratt. I guess
the good news is that at least as of right now,
Bass is still above Pratt, 35 to 23 in the
[00:03:40]
most recent Emerson College poll. I'm not like
a massive Bass fan or whatever. I think there's
some far better progressives that are currently
also like very, they're polling very similar
to Spencer Pratt. But we have to see what the
structure of California elections, we have
to see which two end up in it. I don't like
love Bass, but yeah, I'm gonna choose her over
[00:03:59]
Spencer Pratt, like I think pretty clearly.
The dude's already said that if he loses, he's
gonna leave LA. Which is just like, um I'm
already in favor of voting against you, didn't
need to sell me on it at this point. But look
at the level of attachment he has to this city
he claims to want to run, that he's going to
leave if he loses, okay.
