you sell a 50 % increase to the military budget when the country is against the war and the economy is tanking? Probably not like this. Despite what you might hear in the media, America is not in decline. We remain the strongest military power on Earth, but that power requires [00:00:18] renewal. And with global threats that are constantly evolving, it's time to make a $1.5 trillion investment, a generational. down payment. historic $756 billion of the defense budget, more than half of it, will be allocated to investments in new capabilities. That means factories, [00:00:38] technology, and jobs. It also means spending $100 billion to advance the next generation of American air power. We're advancing the largest shipbuilding request since 1962, including $10 billion into our maritime industrial base. committing nearly 18 billion to operationalize [00:00:57] Golden Dome for America to defend the homeland. Okay, that's enough of that. Let's cut that off. It goes on and on and on. basically, it's just Pete Hicks, it's standing totally normally, no notes. That's how a person stands when they're comfortable in their own body and AI generated [00:01:14] imagery, of course, it's right wing slop, it's gonna have AI stuff. It's very difficult to justify adding enough money to the military budget, which is already larger than all the rest of the countries of the world combined. So he talks about a couple different categories there. $600 billion in new capabilities. That means a feeding frenzy of unlimited money, a mountain of money for [00:01:45] defense contractors to just make up whatever you want. And the Pentagon has already been clear, they have no idea how they're going to spend all this money, which means there's not going to be a lot of standards. They got to get the money out the door, they got to write those checks. And so everybody who either is a defense contractor or knows how to start [00:02:03] a website on GoDaddy is going to be getting massive government contracts. Much of it is going to be total vaporware, it'll never actually be used, but they got to spend that money and the pigs are lining up to feed on it right now. So let's see, we've got the shipbuilding. [00:02:21] He talks about massive money for shipbuilding. No expert thinks that this money is well spent. It's just that we know from reports Donald Trump watched old World War II movies and he thinks that boats are fun. And so now we're going to spend unlimited money building boats because he thinks that they're cool. We're also spending $18 billion for Golden Dome, they say. $18 [00:02:39] billion sounds like a lot of money. It's nothing compared to the $1.2 trillion that Golden Dome is now expected cost. Pete Hegson in that video talks about how we need to reduce our dependence on foreign minerals. Weird because I have a feeling that if we were to bring up, [00:02:55] I don't know, maybe changing the way we generate our energy here to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, I think he would get a little bit snappy about that. For some reason, it's worth spending unlimited money to reduce the dependence on foreign minerals. He brides about an 800 % investment into artificial intelligence. Name one thing that has been demonstrated that [00:03:16] AI is doing to keep us safe with what we're currently spending, they're gonna put 800 more percent into it. Every one of the CEOs of the companies that we're gonna be putting that money into are donors to Donald Trump. So let's just be clear, it's just massive corruption. They never need to deliver anything and they will get unlimited money. And so I also just [00:03:35] wanna remind everyone, the key message here is that this is a down payment. He says that to make it relatable. I mean, you've done down payments on things, right? On a house, on a car, whatever. The thing about a down payment is, it's not over with the down payment. That ain't nothing compared to what you gotta spend in the long run. We already spend a trillion [00:03:55] dollars a year on the military and you're saying a 50 % increase is just a down payment on all this BS? So that your donors can get rich as we don't have money for roads, for healthcare, for building housing, for infrastructure, for anything. We can't afford. any of it. But there [00:04:11] is no limit to how much they can spend year over year on the military, knowing that people are already sick of all of this stuff and think that it's wasted money.
