Trump PANICS Over War Consequences With Sudden Navy Attack Order

Donald Trump goes off the rails in post announcing Navy attack order against Iranian ships as consequences of his war reveal months-long challenges ahead. John Iadarola and Yasmin Kahn break it down on The Damage Report. Leave a comment with your thoughts below!

Let's catch up just briefly with how Donald Trump's stupid forever war with Iran is going. So now he's back to firing on ships, which to be fair, Iran is too. The Strait of Hormuz is an absolute mess, regardless of what Donald Trump wants to say about it. But he posted earlier, I've ordered the United States Navy to shoot and kill any boat. Boats can't actually [00:00:19] be killed, I looked into it. They're not actually creatures, they're vehicles, but he doesn't understand that. Small boats though they may be, their naval ships are all at the bottom of the sea. that is putting mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz. There is to be no hesitation. Additionally, our mine sweepers, they're just mine sweepers. They're not like [00:00:38] sweep, are clearing the strait right now. I am hereby ordering that activity to continue, but at a tripled up level. had it tripled up. Why weren't they at the tripled up level before? [00:00:53] Like the Pentagon told Congress that it could take six months to clear the strait. And evidently they can triple the speed and just hadn't thought to do so before. This is such garbage. None of this is true. There's no order. There's no tripling up. He's not even being allowed into [00:01:13] the room where these decisions are being made. All he has is his phone. and a toilet. And he's just trying to look like he's in charge of things. He's in charge of the Navy, he's in charge of the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, six months to clear it. By the way, if Iran [00:01:30] stops putting new mines in today, and doesn't ever put any more, it could take six months. And I have a feeling they're not going to do that considering that they know and have the capability to put them out anytime that they want. Here's what else he said. Iran is having a very hard time figuring out who their leader is. Yeah, there's a lot of that going around [00:01:47] lately. They just don't know. The infighting is between the hardliners who've been losing badly on the battlefield and the moderates who are not very moderate at all, but gaining respect. He has to have everything five different ways. It's crazy. We have total control over the [00:02:03] straight of our moose. No ship can enter or leave without the approval of the United States Navy. It is sealed up tight until such time as Iran is able to make a deal. No, like, but again, you don't have total control over the straight. if the only position it can be in [00:02:21] is closed. Someone who has control can close it or open it. That's the freedom that you have when you have control. It's closed. Whether you're the one who's saying it's closed or they're the one that's saying it's closed, it's closed. That's not control, that's chaos. [00:02:39] If it's controlled, send a ship through it. Send a cargo ship, send an oil tanker. Let's see how much control you actually have because every day Iran is firing on vessels. Which by the way also means the vessels are trying to transit the Strait of Hormuz. So it doesn't look like you have it sealed down as tight as you say you do. This is all just Trump on [00:02:57] social media trying to cope with the fact that this war is not going in any way like he hoped or thought that it would. What do think, Yaz? I was laughing the whole time as you're reading those true social posts like who says a tripled up level? Who speaks like that? I don't think [00:03:14] I've ever heard- No. Anything that even sounds like that. Or I'm do it at a tripled up level. Say it differently, say it better. You're writing it out. You have time to think about your words and how you're gonna say things. I don't understand why this happens. You have time [00:03:31] to edit things. But here he is, right? He's creating chaos for seemingly no reason, right? I'm sure he has a reason, but he has yet to actually tell the American people what that reason is. And still he's saying, what? You guys need to pay more for your groceries because [00:03:47] of all this. You need to pay more for your gas because of this. It's gonna cost you more to heat and cool your houses this summer uh because of everything that I'm doing over here. Also, I'm gonna start sending more of your tax dollars over there. Also, I'm be sending more of your people over there to deal with this thing. And I don't even have the decency. to [00:04:06] tell you exactly what we're doing over there or why we're doing. And we can speculate as to why he's doing what he's doing. But the fact that he feels that he doesn't need to explain himself is actually a little insane, right? I'm not a psychiatrist, but it's probably a little diagnosable. uh We need to be real about what we're dealing with here. This is [00:04:26] a man who's in the throes of dementia. He's a malignant narcissist who seems to be struggling with the fact that despite whatever he tells himself, the people do not like him and he cannot handle that. He's gonna burn the whole world with him as he's going down. And what's [00:04:41] happening here is he's trying to assert himself as a strong man who is controlling the straight. But as you pointed out, what are we gaining from this? If America controls the street, but this is what control looks like, who is benefiting from this? How is this actually helping us? How is this a win for anybody? In the meantime, He's now trying to convince [00:05:01] the UK to start drilling for more oil in the North Sea, which the people of the UK overwhelmingly do not support. So what's happening is now they're exploring how to bolster their oil and gas dependency now with better uh renewable energy sources. uh actually, I think it was [00:05:22] on The Daily Show or something, they called him uh Captain Planet. because he screwed up so badly that this is the end effect is that it might actually have done some good for the world in a very roundabout way in a way that he did not want to happen, but that is the end result it looks like. Well, look, hopefully if that does happen that it's in a durable [00:05:41] and long lasting way. When we had the gas price shocks of 50 plus years ago that led to people driving smaller, more fuel efficient cars for a while or whatever. maybe like- For a while, yeah. And permanently switch and not just cars but like renewable energy. It's just crazy [00:05:57] that the person that's causing this energy crisis is also the guy who's like, solar is dumb, wind is gay. It's harnessing the power of the sun and the wind. That is wizard, I almost swore. That is wizard stuff, I will say. That is not weak, it's actually awesome, and we [00:06:17] should do way more of it.
