This morning began with yet another phony report from Axios's Barak Ravid and ended with more uncertainty and embarrassment for the American people. I'm not joking, it just will not end. And if there's really any question about how badly the United States has lost this war [00:00:17] so far, well, here's Secretary of State Marco Rubio making it abundantly clear. Our preference is for these straits to be opened to the way they're supposed to be opened. back to the way it was. Anyone can use it, no mines in the water, nobody paying tolls. Well, okay, [00:00:35] all right, well, there it is. uh The goal originally went from pursuing the IRGC's complete surrender to asking if we could please, pretty please get back to where we were before we illegally attacked Iran. Luckily, we have genius war strategists like Ben Shapiro to advise the [00:00:56] Trump administration on what he describes as the easiest move for the US to make right now. What Iran is mostly worried about at this point is that the United States permanently degrades its capacity for economic recovery. The easiest move for the United States to make right now [00:01:13] would be to just blow up Harg Island. Harg Island, you could do an amphibious operation there, it's a lot riskier. Or it could just blow it up and that means that Iran has no refinery capacity and that means their economy is basically sunk for the foreseeable future, which means the regime has no money to pay its own people. Okay, well, it certainly would be easy to [00:01:35] blow up Karg Island. It's unclear how that would persuade the Iranians to lift their blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. I mean, we've been crippling them with sanctions since 1979. We have been doing whatever we can possibly do to crush them economically, and it hasn't [00:01:55] worked. So it's also unclear how such an operation would end the war or accomplish what People like Ben Shapiro actually want what they really want, which is regime change in Iran. And look, they're not going to get that. Everyone agrees that they're not going to get that. [00:02:12] Blowing up Karg Island would accomplish one specific thing, more damage to oil infrastructure in the Gulf, which is what Iran has threatened to do in retaliation if they get attacked again. So that series of events wouldn't just inflict pain on Iran and Iran alone, would [00:02:30] absolutely nuke the global economy. We would literally have a global depression on our hands, which wouldn't be so easy on the United States or the world's perception of Israel, would it been? But it seems as though President Trump faces similar cognitive challenges on questions [00:02:48] of war and peace. Because this morning, Israeli sonographer Barak Ravid alleged that the Trump administration was inching closer to a real peace deal with Iran. Mere hours later, the president was already issuing threats, a fresh new round of threats to Tehran. And in yet [00:03:06] another Truth Social post, he warned that if Iran refuses to accept his 14 point plan or deal, the bombing starts and it will be sadly at a much higher level and intensity than it was before. So what is in this US proposal? Well, Ravid claims that the deal would involve [00:03:27] the United States. lifting sanctions on Iran if the IRGC commits to a moratorium on nuclear enrichment, something they had already agreed to do earlier, but okay. The deal would also involve both parties lifting their blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, which is great, that's [00:03:44] what we would want. And while a spokesperson for Iran's foreign ministry told CNBC that they're reviewing the proposal, chances are that Trump isn't really serious about it, which is why- The Iranians have also said that they're kind of brushing it aside and not taking it [00:04:00] too seriously. No one trusts Trump. Now the Pakistanis are really hurting economically, which is why they're probably more hopeful than most. A Pakistani government official told MSNOW that the prospect of a proposal to end the war is very likely in the coming days. [00:04:18] But I don't really think so. Remember, Trump says all sorts of things that aren't true. I mean, he When he announced the ceasefire at the beginning of the ceasefire, he alleged that Iran's 10 point proposal to end the war, which included by the way US reparations to [00:04:36] Iran, was an acceptable basis to begin peace talks. And then he said the opposite later that same night. Anyway, hours after Ravid published that bunk news story, Fox News' Trey Yanks reported this. Central Command says an Iranian flagged vessel attempted to breach the US naval [00:04:58] blockade earlier today. CENTCOM says the vessel was warned multiple times before US forces fired on it. The shots came from the 20 millimeter Gatling gun of an F-18 Super Hornet that took off from the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. This does come as the region is waiting to [00:05:15] see if an agreement will be reached between the United States and Iran. Can we please just stop the daily humiliation ritual? The American people don't deserve this. We don't deserve this. So why do we keep getting jerked around by the Trump administration? [00:05:34] Why does he keep playing this game where he pretends as though peace is on the horizon? I think the answer is pretty obvious. Here it is. Oil prices sinking right now on that Axios report that says the US and Iran are closer to a deal [00:05:52] than at any point since this war began. a one-page 14-point Memorandum of Understanding or MOU is on the table. As I mentioned, the markets really like what they see right now and the report does signal that both sides want a deal after almost three months of stalemate. But [00:06:08] of course, key hurdles remain. Iran's leadership is deeply divided and narrowing the gap on critical issues for the Gulf states here, like who controls Hormuz long-term and the fate of Iran's proxies, its missiles and its drones are all going to be key sticking points. Was [00:06:26] that a real reporter or AI? That guy seemed like he might have been AI. I don't know. Anyway, but yeah, market manipulation, duh. The only thing that President Trump seems to excel in in his second term. And it's pretty sick that his Israeli minion over at Axios keeps recycling [00:06:42] the same hollow story to help him do the market manipulation. And there is absolutely no indication that Iran is deeply divided. There really isn't. uh In fact, there is indication that the United States, this war alongside a special ally that has completely different objectives than us. [00:07:02] Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu might have been uh fooled by Trump's obvious market manipulation earlier today as a genuine call for peace. Because guess what the IDF did today? They started bombing Beirut, something that Israel tends to do as soon as they're [00:07:17] in fear of a possible peace deal. Netanyahu claimed in an ex post that these strikes on Beirut targeted some new boogeyman or boogeymen that we're all supposed to be worried about as he attempts to justify more slaughter in a sovereign country that doesn't belong to [00:07:33] him. They want regime change or for Iran to become a failed state, same, same, they don't care. They want something like Syria or Libya. Basically, they want to castrate Iran so they have no challenger in the region as they expand their [00:08:40] borders. In fact, Israel insists on keeping the United States in this disastrous war knowing how much it has already damaged our military sites across the Middle East, across the Gulf. In fact, the Washington Post has a new exclusive that dives into just how extensive that damage [00:08:57] is based on satellite imagery. Iranian airstrikes have damaged or at least destroyed at least 228 structures or pieces of equipment at US military sites across the Middle East. since the war began hitting hangars, barracks, fuel depots, aircraft and key radar, communications [00:09:15] and air defense equipment. In fact, uh Iran was very strategic in their strikes early on in the war going after our radar systems and essentially crippling what we had left of our depleted missile defense systems. And while CNN reported just last week that 16 US installations [00:09:32] had been damaged, the Washington Post has learned that the situation on the ground is actually a lot worse. The review by the Post based on images dating from the war's start through April 14th, reveals that scores of additional targets were struck at the sites. The destruction [00:09:50] is way worse than what the White House is ever really willing to acknowledge. But unlike the indiscriminate bombings that the US and the Israelis have engaged in, along with the intentional bombings, of course, of schools and hospitals. Mark Kansian, a senior advisor [00:10:07] with the Center for Strategic and International Studies says that the Iranian attacks were precise. There are no random craters indicating misses. Isn't it kind of strange how the country that we're supposed to be so scared of after decades of US fear mongering about them tends [00:10:24] to be a lot more responsible in what they're doing? They're targeting military sites. uh government has decided to go after civilian infrastructure, schools, universities, hospitals, things like that. It's kind of gross. And it sucks that uh we have now undergone the Israelification [00:10:42] of our military. uh think it's sick and it turns out that these strategic strikes that Iran had been carrying out were more effective obviously than indiscriminate bombings. The threat of air attacks rendered some of the US bases in the region too dangerous to staff [00:11:01] at normal levels. And commanders moved most of the personnel from these sites out of the range of Iranian fire at the start of the war. So after Trump launched the war, he expressed absolute shock over the fact that Iran retaliated by striking US military bases in the Gulf region. [00:11:21] Which kind of gives you an idea of how ill prepared and ill informed our president was going into this mess. Now experts who reviewed the post analysis said that the damage at these sites suggested that the US military had underestimated Iran's targeting abilities, not adapted sufficiently [00:11:39] to modern drone warfare and left some bases under protected. Trump didn't expect Iran to close the Strait of Hormuz either. But he, never hesitates to take advice from the Israelis who have obviously led him astray. So in the meantime, we're stuck in a war that benefits [00:12:02] no one other than the very people who tricked Trump into this war in the first place. And people get real upset when you say that. They think it's anti-Semitic, which I dismiss immediately. I'm not even going to engage with that. But they think that it robs Trump of his own agency. [00:12:18] No, it doesn't. He's a fool for trusting the Israelis. He's a fool for surrounding himself with pro-Israel individuals and never listening to anyone who might have a different opinion [00:12:34] about how this war should be carried out. Or maybe a different opinion about whether or not this war should have been carried out in the first place. But we're stuck with this guy and we're stuck with a crumbling global economy with no end in sight. And when Israel [00:12:49] questions why people hate them, I love how they immediately point to anti-Semitism when in reality, the war that they've been egging on for decades is crushing people across the globe economically. I think that might have a lot more to do with the disdain that people [00:13:04] feel toward Israel right now. uh
