Jaws DROP Over Trump's Comments On Venezuela's Oil
President Trump didn't mince words when recently asked about Venezuela's oil.
- 9 minutes
Hakeem Jeffries remains the same guy.
We always thought he was a guy
who does the donor's bidding
and in this case, keeps those elected
to lead the American people rich
while the rest of us get crumbs.
House minority leaders
actively undercutting a bipartisan effort
[00:00:16]
to finally, finally ban members of
Congress from trading individual stocks.
I know you have a lot to say
about this one.
We'll get to the details and the tactics,
but your $0.02, Jake.
So I just mainly want to tell people
this is a really interesting story,
[00:00:34]
because it shows you how Democrats
pretend to be on your side
while actually being against you.
Now, this is a play
that they've run hundreds of times,
but this is a good example of it.
So let's pay attention to what they do
here to be able to pull that trick off.
[00:00:50]
Here it is.
For years, of course,
we've talked about how corrupt this is.
80 to 90% of the public wants this ban.
There's actually momentum.
A discharge petition started by Republican
Anna Paulina Luna had 74 signatures,
including 15 Republicans.
[00:01:08]
If every Democrat signed on, it would
force a floor vote, and this could
very well become well, law that easy.
Finally.
But instead of taking the win
for the American people, Jeffries got
to work introducing a spoiler bill.
His team is telling members not to sign
the petition, instead back his bill,
[00:01:28]
which adds a key component.
It's a ban for the president
and vice president.
It is a nonstarter, though, of course,
for Republicans who would never sign on
to that, effectively killing all chances.
Any real reform gets done.
It's all by design.
[00:01:46]
Anyone who mistakes Minority Leader
Jeffries efforts as well-intentioned,
extra toughness on the unfair practice
of basically insider trading
from members of Congress.
He'd only to recall recent history
involving then House Speaker
Nancy Pelosi's trading ban effort.
That was back in 2022, not that long ago.
[00:02:05]
That time it extended
to the Supreme Court,
which also derailed bipartisan momentum.
As Dylan Hettler Gaudet of the Project
on Government Oversight puts it, this is
exactly what Pelosi did a few years ago.
This is not only an unserious effort,
it's an attempt to undermine and kill off
[00:02:26]
the only bipartisan legislative vehicle
that is gaining momentum.
It is really bad faith all around.
Now, according to reporting
from the American Prospect,
Jeffries team is telling outside advocates
to get in line with the leadership
or risk losing access in the future.
[00:02:43]
They're literally threatening people
to prevent a popular anti-corruption bill
from passing.
Consider that.
And let's just take a look, shall we, at
the person they put at the front of this?
It is Representative Seth Magaziner,
the lead on the Democratic side
[00:03:00]
for the bipartisan bill.
Yet he's the one sponsoring Jeffries,
Partizan distraction
Hakeem Jeffries, Mike Johnson
are playing games blaming each other,
of course, while ensuring their members
can still profit from insider information.
[00:03:16]
American public is left alienated,
of course, once again disgusted too.
They'd rather have a campaign slogan
to yell about in 2020, than a law
that actually stops the corruption
when it comes to political insider greed.
There are not two parties, of course.
Just one.
[00:03:33]
And I'm wondering, I mean, I see them
as not even particularly creative here.
It's kind of lazy,
like they're running the same play.
You don't even have
to scout the other side.
Yet this continues,
and I don't know what can either wake
up the American public or, you know,
[00:03:50]
they're distracted with just affordability
issues, but get people to call it out
and get real change here.
It seems like this will never change.
Yeah, we need more brave
representatives like Ro Khanna.
I mean, he's like a one man army, but it'd
be nice if there was 3 or 4 of them.
[00:04:06]
Maybe they could take different avenues.
This is the hardest one
because it's pointing out the hypocrisy
or the lies of a fellow Democrat.
And in Washington, that's considered like
way worse than anything you can imagine.
[00:04:21]
Like, to them, like us authorizing the
death of hundreds of thousands of people
is not anywhere near as bad
as being impolite to a fellow Democrat.
So let me explain the game
that's being played here first.
So on the surface, if when Hakeem Jeffries
comes and goes, I'm trying to hold Trump
[00:04:39]
and Vance accountable.
The voters go, yeah,
we want to hold Trump accountable.
That sounds like a good idea right?
So that sounds like a win for them.
And and so they say plus
look at the Republican hypocrisy.
They say Congress should not be
able to trade stocks,
[00:04:56]
but the white House should be able to.
We get people on our side.
But the reality is totally different.
The reality is, yes,
the Republicans are hypocrites.
I'll come back to them in a second.
So but whether they are or aren't,
they're not going to vote for the bill
[00:05:12]
that includes the white House in it.
Hakeem Jeffries knows that.
He inserts that not out of naivete,
but purposely to tank the bill
to make sure it doesn't pass
because he doesn't want it to pass.
Now here's a counter proposal, for
example, that could easily get this done.
[00:05:32]
You say yes to this bill.
You got the 15 Republicans,
you all vote on it.
And you, the Democratic Party looks like
it's anti-corruption because it literally
passed a bill that was anti-corruption.
A minority Republicans agreed with you.
The entire Democratic Party agrees
we should be against corruption,
[00:05:48]
and that would get 90% of the job done.
At that point anyway.
And that is very rare because almost
never do Republicans cross over.
Here we have a beautiful opportunity
for Republicans to cross over to our side
in terms of at least anti-corruption
policies and get a huge win.
[00:06:07]
And then after that,
there's nothing stopping you
from introducing a bill saying,
hey, since we just passed it for Congress,
it should also apply to the white House.
So it's a trick, guys.
There's no reason why you couldn't do that
after you get 90% of the job done.
[00:06:25]
It's just that the Democrats in Congress
want to be able to trade on stocks,
and maybe they have a legitimate argument,
but they've never made one.
Instead, they've pretended
they're in favor of this
while quietly, secretly killing it off.
[00:06:41]
And so what we need, Sharon, is, in
this case, like establishment media, has
covered up all the crimes of the corporate
Democrats and corporate Republicans.
Right?
So if you talk about this
in establishment,
[00:06:57]
they never even talk about this.
But if they talked about it,
they would tell you that Hakeem is
fighting for the Democratic voters,
and Hakeem is an amazing leader
and a masterful legislator and blah, blah,
blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right?
No, we need more people calling BS.
So we've been doing it for 20
[00:07:13]
straight years, and we've been battered
by the Democratic leadership.
And guys, whenever I say the Democrats
are lying to you, etc., of course,
I mean the politicians and the leadership,
they're lying to their own voters.
The Democratic voters are the ones we have
to protect, along with all the voters.
So, and but you can't like so far,
[00:07:33]
online media has not been able to,
at least on the left, been
able to overwhelm establishment media.
And now we're making a lot more headway.
Now people realize
Democratic leadership sucks, as we've been
telling them this entire time.
They take donor money like we've
been telling you this entire time.
[00:07:49]
They're corrupt,
like we've been telling you, etc.
But it still hasn't crossed
the tipping point in my opinion.
So but the way you get into establishment
media is you get esteemed legislators
to say it on the record.
So, for example, if AOC came out and said
what Hakeem Jeffries is doing is
[00:08:05]
ridiculous, we should take the win,
apply the stock ban to Congress, and then
introduce a bill to go get Trump advance.
We hit both birds with one stone.
But she won't say that because then,
oh, she has offended Hakeem Jeffries.
[00:08:22]
She's been naughty and all
the other Democrats will yell at her.
And Mainstream media will yell at her,
and she doesn't want that.
She doesn't want that fight.
She doesn't want
to be uncomfortable, that's why.
And I say AOC because she's a big example
of it, but apply to literally
everyone else in Congress,
minus Ro Khanna and Bernie Sanders.
[00:08:41]
Where are they?
So they'll never oppose Hakeem.
So this is just going to go around
and around and our own voters, Sharon,
honestly get lied to more than
the Republican voters do because at least
the Republicans fight within themselves.
And you get to hear the two
options right on our side.
[00:09:00]
We're like a voice in the wilderness
going, they're lying to you.
They're never gonna do the policies, and
we can prove it like we do in this case.
And the rest of the media
and politicians are like, bow your heads.
Otherwise you support Trump.
Make sure that the corporate donors win.
[00:09:17]
Right.
There's a little bit of a rebellion.
I hope the rebellion
gets much, much larger.
Every time you ring the bell below,
an angel gets his wings.
Totally not true, but it does
keep you updated on our live shows.
