New York City Mayor Eric Adams is desperately trying to dunk on his [00:00:15] political foes or on Mamdani, of course, an individual who's poised to beat him in the New York City mayoral race. Now, Adams is mocking Mamdani as mom's scrawny. See what you did there? Very clever. [00:00:31] So, look, Adams shared that odd video that we just showed you with the following statement 64 versus 33. A lifetime of hard work versus a silver spoon. He's comparing himself to Mamdani here. The results speak for themselves. [00:00:48] The weight of the job is too heavy for mom's scrawny. The only thing he can lift is your taxes. Andrew Cuomo weighed in on it as well. Very original. It's easy to talk. It's hard to carry the burden. [00:01:03] These guys are so utterly lame. Okay, this guy can't bench his own body weight, let alone carry the weight of leading the most important city in the world. What about you, Andrew Cuomo? What were you up to as governor? Oh yeah, that's right. You sent sick elderly people back to nursing homes when they had Covid, [00:01:20] thus increasing the number of elderly people who died of Covid in nursing homes. Multiple people accused you of sexual harassment, sexual harassment and sexual misconduct. Like, who are you to talk? What was your leadership like? What was your leadership like? I mean, these guys are total. [00:01:38] I don't care how much weight a politician can lift. What I care about is their ideas and what their leadership is going to look like. Yeah, so I left. So I'll give you some sense of, of how much tougher I am [00:01:54] than both of them in a second. Okay. So. But first, Andrew Cuomo. He can't lift his own body weight. Brother, you shut down your own anti-corruption commission when they found out the call was coming from inside the house. Like, he's like, all right, I got this great corruption commission. [00:02:10] Don't worry. We're going to handle it. And they're like, okay, we looked into it and it turns out you're the corrupt one. He's like, shut it down. That's it. We don't need a corruption commission. So that's like a billion times more relevant than any weightlifting contest, right? Right. So apparently this is being done by the good folks at 500 men. [00:02:26] And it was a men's day. It's a thing I'm not familiar with. So it looks like they got 45 on each side. So so that's 135 pounds. They're benching 33 is not bad. And so like for Eric Adams nice job on the 66 or 64. But I couldn't give a crap. [00:02:45] Same. So like I don't care if the number was 0 or 200 because I'm not hiring a bodybuilder. I'm hiring a mayor. So I just fail to see how this is relevant. I don't know where I haven't tried this, but now I want to. So I don't know where I'd come out. [00:03:01] Maybe somewhere between Mamdani and and and Adams. But that doesn't make me a better mayoral candidate in New York than Mamdani or Adams. I'm a better mayoral candidate than Adams because everyone is okay. But outside of that, this is not pertinent. [00:03:16] But, you know, here's the pertinent part. They're trying to out troll and out viral. Mamdani. So what happened was Mamdani did really well in social media, and he had these fun campaigns and they worked really well, and he interacted with real human beings and he wasn't a robot. [00:03:33] So now the corporate Democrats realize that that's the right strategy. That's honestly what we've been saying on The Young Turks for at least a decade. Right. So they now like, oh, he won, I got it. So Andrew Cuomo does a video in the streets of New York. He's like, these are where we keep the humans. [00:03:50] And I am told that I am supposed to serve them. That's but of course, the donors called me and I'm doing something else entirely. But here I am in the streets of New York, being a regular person and human. Right. And Adams is like, yeah, your mama's scrawny. [00:04:07] Oh, Jesus Christ, brother man. That's not how you do it. If you want to be a populist. It isn't about how much you lift. It's about not taking bribes from the Turkish government. No one wants you, Cuomo. No one's interested. Okay. [00:04:22] Your days are over as a politician. Go, go find something else to do. Go be a consultant or a lobbyist. That's what you're destined for. No one wants your leadership. You failed the first time. No one wants any more of that. You want to go spend the time. Go be a trainer at the gym since you're so proud of how much you can lift. [00:04:40] Yeah. So, look, guys, corporate Democrats have two different problems. One is stylistic, another is substantive. So stylistically, they were like, we are robots. We will tell you, talking points from our consultants. And now they're like, our consultants say that we should try to sound more human [00:04:58] and bench press or something, right? But that's their minor problem. Their major problem is the actual policies. And Cuomo gave away the store to over and over again to his donors, mainly real estate donors, but every kind of donor. [00:05:14] And why do you think Wall Street and those real estate donors are working overtime to try to help Cuomo and defeat Mamdani, because they know if Cuomo is back, they're going to be in charge, not the citizens and voters of New York.
