Republican Rep Makes DISGUSTING Comment About Muslims
Republican Rep. Randy Fine called Rep. Ilhan Omar a "terrorist."
- 14 minutes
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar
calling out Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu, saying he
shouldn't be welcomed in DC because,
in her words, quote,
war criminals should not be welcomed
by any president or Congress.
I mean, he is an accused war criminal.
[00:00:15]
That comment, though,
sparked a barrage of attacks online.
One in particular, though,
from Florida Republican Randy fine,
went beyond politics.
Take a look at his response here.
Not too low. I think he can go lower.
[00:00:31]
He basically says, I'm sure it's difficult
to see us welcome the killer of so many
of your fellow Muslim terrorists.
The only shame
is that you serve in Congress.
I know that everything swirling around us
in politics seems just rock bottom.
[00:00:49]
But what do you.
What's your initial reaction to this?
I hate that this seems so normalized
with some of these haters.
Yeah, so Randy fine is a well
known bigot like everybody knows.
He's like a deranged anti-Muslim bigot.
Racist, right?
[00:01:07]
And like, even in a Congress
filled with anti-Muslim bigots,
filled with congressmen funding
the genocide of Muslims in Gaza with glee.
Right.
Randy fine stands out
as the worst of the worst.
So to me, that's not the issue.
[00:01:24]
I already knew
what kind of a monster he is.
Right.
But what's amazing, Sharon,
is the juxtaposition
because Ilhan Omar was censured
for saying it's all about the Benjamins,
about lobbyists, which is only 100% true.
[00:01:43]
The politicians do care about the money
that the lobbyists are giving them.
That's a stone cold fact.
And she was censured for that.
How dare you?
And that was somehow anti-Semitic
because they stretched it to, oh, she's
criticizing AIPAC and talking about money.
[00:01:59]
And so that must mean Jews. No, wait.
AIPAC is about Israel.
It's not about Jews and money.
You're making a weirdo assumption
that anyone who measures money
must mean that they're anti-Semitic.
What?
What's on your head? Right.
Anyway, she makes it perfectly benign.
Comment.
[00:02:14]
Censure. Censure.
Republicans and Democrats.
Randy finds like.
Yeah, that Muslim over there
is a terrorist like all Muslims are.
And they're like,
oh, I don't see a problem.
Where's the censure?
Nobody's even talking about censure.
[00:02:29]
Certainly the Republicans aren't,
obviously.
But Democrats, where are you?
You're going to protect a fellow Democrat.
Unity. Unity, right?
Oh, nothing. Nothing, nothing.
Because it's no big deal
to be anti-Muslim in this country.
Now, if you criticize Israel, though.
Oh, God. Anti-semitism.
[00:02:47]
- Anti-semitism.
- Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah.
Okay, tell me that you take millions
of dollars from AIPAC without telling me.
Okay, so that's almost all of Congress.
The problem isn't Randy fine.
This jerk bigot losers like him.
[00:03:03]
Plenty of folks
in every country like that, right?
It's the people who financed him,
put him in that position to be that deeply
racist against Muslims and bigot.
Bigoted. Take any word you like in that.
And it's his colleagues who are like,
oh yeah, Randy fine.
And oh boy, did you see, oh my God.
[00:03:20]
Ilhan Omar said something
against our beloved AIPAC,
the lobbyists that have given us the most
money in Congress in this election cycle
than any other lobbyist.
Censure her, censure her.
You guys like a foaming
at the mouth racist against Palestinians,
bigoted against Muslims.
[00:03:35]
And they're like,
oh, no big deal, no big deal.
So don't talk to me about bigotry.
So no, no, no, anyone who doesn't think
that Randy fine shouldn't be censured.
Tall glass of shut up juice.
Next time you talk about anti-Semitism
when someone criticizes Israel, okay,
[00:03:51]
don't tell me that you care about bigotry,
but only bigotry tree against one group,
and then you love the bigotry
against another group.
So they're not they
don't care about bigotry.
All of this giant entire exercise
of Congress
[00:04:06]
is to protect a foreign country, Israel.
That's why when there's a verified,
bona fide 100% bigot like Randy,
fine, they don't care at all.
Indifference.
[00:04:22]
He's there
because the voters put him there.
So I think you're so right
about that spot on.
This is not just a slur. Of course.
It's a sitting congressman accusing
a muslim colleague of being a terrorist
solely based on her faith.
Not the first time, either.
Just last week, Randy fine,
one of his latest episodes, posted this
[00:04:41]
under a photo of Rashida Tlaib and New
York City's Democratic mayoral nominee.
He wrote, Muslim terrorists hang out
together, and I bet you he just chuckled.
And those who believe what he believes.
Just thought
that was the funniest thing ever.
[00:04:57]
You know, here's the thing.
He's not just saying
the quiet part out loud.
He's broadcasting it again and again
to the point where it's just accepted.
It's accepted. It's normalized.
Be clear this is not some random troll.
Randy fine chairs the Florida House
Committee on School Safety and Security.
[00:05:16]
He's been amplified by right wing media.
He's already under fire
for promoting anti-palestinian rhetoric.
He's called Gaza a terrorist state.
He supported defunding universities
that host pro-Palestine protests,
repeatedly questioned
the loyalty of Muslim Americans.
[00:05:34]
The tweet, posted on July 8th,
had over 789,000 views.
And that was just by this morning.
So what?
What does this really say, this moment?
Jank.
And you've addressed the silence from
GOP leaders, but what does this say about,
I guess, all of us?
[00:05:51]
Yeah.
Look, this has happened, of course,
to many different groups in both American
history and obviously world history.
Where different groups are.
We go through discriminating
against different groups one at a time.
So when the Italians and the immigrants
were, and the Irish were the immigrants
[00:06:10]
back in the day, you know, made up names
and all, they were different and they
were terrible and they were Catholic.
And there was there was
always a reason to hate.
Right.
And so and of course, perennially against
black Americans, perennially against gay
Americans, etc., but the gay Americans,
the trans Americans was a really
interesting journey in a sense,
[00:06:28]
because Republicans start by saying,
okay, gay marriage is terrible.
These gay people live in sin.
We hate them.
We hate them, we hate them.
That stops working.
Then they move to trans people.
That stops working.
Then they start moving in.
Okay.
All right, well,
let's try trans bathroom military.
Because that's not working.
Let's go to sports.
[00:06:45]
Oh, that worked finally. Okay.
Right. And so now in in this case, There.
There's no downside
to attacking Muslims in this country.
So like and here's the thing, Sharon.
[00:07:01]
And I'm sure that in a lot of ways
you can relate to this.
When you're Muslim in America,
you feel like you have no protection.
So like if somebody says something
genuinely anti-Semitic,
like Grock did the other day,
or a hundred other people
who are genuine anti-Semites
[00:07:18]
and say terrible things, right,
you're going to get some protection.
And it makes sense. You should.
And so what does that mean?
That means, like people in media and
politics will call it out and say, that's
wrong and they'll protect that community.
Wonderful, right.
Now, some communities have gotten strong
enough in this country, where, you know,
[00:07:35]
they can protect themselves and say,
look, we're a huge part of the population.
And you could do that
for different groups blacks, Latinos,
Asians, etc., in varying degrees. Right.
And certainly, oh my God,
African Americans have been
so vulnerable for so long in this country.
[00:07:51]
Right.
So. But for now, with Muslims, like,
you could say anything you want.
I mean, you go on my X account,
you go anywhere, you go on this video
and look at the comment section.
There's dozens, hundreds of people like,
oh, you goddamn dirty Muslim,
[00:08:06]
you should be arrested, exported,
you know, deported, expelled, etc.
And you're terrorists and you're
this and you're that and nobody cares.
Nobody cares.
I mean, even get past the randos.
The randy finds a congressman.
No one cares.
[00:08:23]
You could say what he said on TV.
They'll care for like half a second.
They'll move on. Right.
So what do you do? Right.
Well, what do you do?
What you do is you try to,
you know, get to a point.
You join, you know,
the the perpetual civil rights movement
[00:08:42]
that exists in this country.
Because after Muslims,
it'll be somebody else.
Right after we get accepted, then they'll
be like, it was the damn Peruvians.
That was the real problem, right?
And they'll just keep trying
to find another to attack.
Right.
[00:08:57]
And that's representative Randy fine
in a nutshell.
And so but there's the second issue
is it's intertwined
with this foreign policy issue.
So as other lobbies, big pharma, oil, etc.
[00:09:13]
Have cornered the market in,
in Washington, you know, so has AIPAC
and AIPAC is
to help a foreign country, Israel.
So and even saying sentences
like that out loud will get you attacked
by mainstream media and politicians
and everyone in power.
[00:09:31]
And so they have an incentive
to get Americans to hate all Muslims.
So when Israel attacks, Muslim countries,
as it does nonstop, like Gaza,
West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, etc.
They say no, no no no no no no no.
[00:09:51]
The Muslims are dirty terrorist savages
and they had it coming.
You see, since they're the violent ones,
when Israel attacks them, when Israel
bombs them, they're innocent and they're
just doing self-defense preemptively.
Preemptively.
[00:10:06]
So. And of course, that's a that's
a community you should hate.
So when you combine the forces
of looking for the next group to hate
with this super powerful lobby that says,
oh my God, it would help our interests
so much if Americans hated Muslims.
[00:10:24]
That is a lot of offense against us.
And we have almost no defense, right?
We have, you know, me and Mehdi Hasan
and a bunch of other wonderful
non-Muslim allies who fight back, right?
But in mainstream media,
we're nearly nonexistent.
[00:10:41]
And whenever a politician gets through,
like Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib,
leave all of American media and all
of the rest of their colleagues spend all
their time trying to tear them down.
So what do we do?
We fight on and and we try
to do the best we can.
[00:10:56]
But but right now.
So that's why I last thing on it, Sharon.
And we have an interesting
poll about this too.
Here.
Let me tell you the poll in the last thing
and then get your thoughts on it.
On the website.
We said, what do you think Democrats
in Congress
actually think of representative Randy
finds bigoted comments against Ilhan Omar.
[00:11:14]
Now the question is about Democrats,
not Republicans, right.
Because he's a Republican.
The Republicans are gonna protect him.
A they're outraged and will call for the
central censure of Representative Fine.
B they'll do nothing
because they're Democrats.
See, they secretly agree
with Representative Fine.
[00:11:29]
D they won't say anything
because AIPAC would get mad at them.
So there's a lot of good answers in there.
Okay.
So tight go vote.
I'm curious what you guys think,
but, you know, Sharon, When we go to
[00:11:45]
defend ourselves, we get extra attacked.
Right. Yeah.
Look at these Muslims.
They so get emotional.
And look at him.
He's yelling and screaming.
That's how they are.
And and I don't think that mainstream
media if you ask the cable news anchors,
[00:12:01]
are you guys bigoted against Muslims?
They would probably be horrified
at the thought.
No way. No way, they would say.
And then their very next story
they would read from the teleprompter,
the savage terrorist Muslims
dared to fight back against Israel.
Terrorists, sons of bitches, savages.
[00:12:18]
And then Israel kills 100,
500 times as many people.
And they're like Israel
today reported self-defense.
And the human shields were used
by the dirty, savage terrorists,
Palestinian Muslims.
It's like it's exhausting.
It's exhausting.
And they don't even realize
how racist they're being.
[00:12:36]
So that's my take on it. Yeah.
Now, so much of what you said
sent chills up my spine.
You mentioned, Mehdi Hassan.
Remember, after October 7th,
certain voices were silenced.
Just because I don't even know
if he reported one thing.
[00:12:53]
Certain voices on certain cable networks
were immediately silenced just
because the thought the site might offend.
I happen to be watching one of the cables
sampled some others all day.
A couple days.
[00:13:09]
I didn't see anything about Mr. Fine
and his disgusting tweets.
None of it.
And I think you make
such an important point.
There are good every day smart people.
But because the rhetoric,
the propaganda is so ingrained,
[00:13:27]
people who are minorities, you said,
I can certainly empathize here,
but there's not a lot of empathy because
people are interchanging terrorists,
Hamas with the Palestinian people.
It's exactly what you said.
And even people who don't consider
themselves bigoted in this way and
[00:13:46]
and perhaps aren't they're not.
I don't know
that there's a lot of empathy.
It's like they don't have the bandwidth
for for this this core group.
And I it's scary.
You know, you started out
by saying there's no protection.
[00:14:03]
- I it's scary.
- Yeah.
They ran out of empathy
just when they got to us.
Yeah. Yeah.
Well you're here. You're here.
As. A powerful voice,
and nobody's going to silence you.
Yeah, well, they've tried.
Hasn't worked yet.
[00:14:21]
So we fight back and.
And, by the way,
I'm nothing without the community.
So thank you to the entire TYT community
for allowing us to do this
and for being a voice that speaks out
not just for us, you know, for all of us.
For all of us.
Every time you ring the bell below,
an angel gets his wings.
[00:14:38]
Totally not true.
But it does keep you updated
on our live shows.
