Republican House Speaker's Plot REVEALED In Disastrous New Medicaid Scheme
Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson's scheme to push a false narrative over new GOP plan for another wave of disastrous cuts to critical benefit programs that a huge amount of Americans rely on, including Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security, while giving new tax cuts to the ultra rich. John Iadarola and Sharon Reed break it down on The Damage Report. Leave a comment with your thoughts below!

You think that there is nothing that Congress
can do next year that would be worse than what
it's done in the first two years of the Trump
administration. But I'm to need you to free
your mind and start thinking creatively and
fast. Because Republican House Speaker Mike
Johnson has got his tax cuts, the big beautiful
bill. And now he thinks it's time for some
[00:00:17]
more cuts, but not necessarily tax cuts, although
they'll probably do that. No, it's cuts to
Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. You
knew that it was coming. And if they are lucky
enough to maintain- the stranglehold that they
have on power right now, they're gonna do it.
They're gonna screw over your retirement, they're
gonna take away your healthcare. They're just
[00:00:36]
openly telling you it. Take a look at this.
We've been doing all that. And then we're gonna
lead up to what we have to do and address. The
largest spending items, the reason we're in
trouble is because over 74 % of federal spending
is on autopilot, mandatory spending. That's
[00:00:52]
your entitlement programs like Medicare, Medicaid,
and then things like social security. They
have to be adjusted and fixed. We have a plan
to do that uh next year and it's critical because
we're at 40 trillion plus. oh I want to apologize
to the audience. In my intro, I said that
[00:01:10]
they were going to be cutting it. They're just
going to be adjusting it and fixing it. I wonder
in which direction are they going to cut it?
Are they going to make it bigger? I can't wait
to find out. But yeah, no, he chose his words
carefully because they're never going to admit
that they're cutting it. They're never going
to admit that they're screwing you over, reducing
[00:01:28]
the benefits, increasing the number of years
before you can retire. But that's all they've
ever proposed to do. Have you ever seen Mike
Johnson come out and say I want to raise your
benefits? No, no, see, there's an issue, okay,
America, social security, Medicare, Medicaid,
it's on autopilot. We just automatically pay
for it. It's not like the military budget where
[00:01:48]
we have constant serious discussions about whether
it's time to finally cut it massively or whatever.
That's the true autopilot to me, it just always
goes up. So anyway, he says, we have a plan
to do that next year and it's critical because
we're at 40 trillion plus in debt, which- By
[00:02:04]
the way, Donald Trump is personally responsible
for approximately half of the national debt.
And it is not because of Social Security, Medicare
and Medicaid. It's because you guys keep handing
trillions of dollars over to a host, okay? We
told you before you did that that's going to
[00:02:19]
be the effect. It was the effect of the first
term, you're doing it again. So stop lying
to me about both the entitlement programs, but
also the national debt. We are simply too intelligent
and too tapped into what's going on to buy these
lies. Now the issue is, that Social Security
does actually need help, help, not cuts, okay?
Right now the new trustees report that just
[00:02:41]
came out in Social Security said that they're
not going to be able to pay full out benefits
only until the fourth quarter of 2032, one quarter
earlier than projected last year. So things
are bad and also getting worse. Now they would
imply, the way that you fix that is you just
[00:02:58]
basically make it suck now and it won't cost
as much if you don't give people much. if you
make them wait additional years before they
finally get the benefits. But there is an alternative
solution and it's pretty simple. You know
on every paycheck you've ever gotten, you
[00:03:13]
pay social security taxes that go to fund these
programs and you pay it on every dollar of
your pay. You do, maybe I do, maybe producer
Mike over there does. The rich don't, the caps,
which is really nice if you're rich because
you don't want to pay an additional tax. Isn't
[00:03:30]
it weird? that you pay a higher tax than the
rich do on it? If we were to take that away,
it would keep the program fully solvent for
literally years. No, not even like really a
new additional taxes, just having the rich pay
the tax that we already pay would be a solution.
[00:03:46]
Is that one of the adjustments and fixes that
Mike Johnson is talking about? Obviously not,
he would literally rather die. Sharon, what
do you make of all this? Sorry, I almost blurted
out, I'm okay with that, but I don't wish any
harm. Listen, This whole thing that they previously
[00:04:02]
labeled, I mean, you just articulated everything.
It's brilliant and you just gave the facts.
And that is what has been called for years Trump
derangement syndrome, okay? No, we know the
truth. You've cut us to the bare bones. Even
if you have cover, a roof over your head, you're
[00:04:21]
impacted by more and more people who don't and
fewer and fewer programs all because of this.
guy. It used to be, you're just a leftist,
everything's Trump's fault. What about before
Trump? Yeah, there was stuff going on beforehand.
But what you've just articulated is, this
[00:04:38]
guy owns such a huge percentage in such a short
time period. Look what he's done to affect
every single one of our lives. There's no one
that you can name who can escape what Trump,
he has affected all of us, okay? So Mike Johnson.
If he could take his Bible and just have a
[00:05:00]
seat, that would be a great start. Yeah, look,
um I think there's a very good chance that
the Democrats take back not only the House and
Mike Johnson will literally not be in any position
to do any of this by then, but that also hopefully
will take over the Senate. We can stop them
from doing this sort of thing. But everybody
does need to understand that if we do not,
[00:05:18]
they will do this. There are only two things
really that they've wanted to do for decades.
uh Constant tax cuts always and they do that
all the time. And as soon as they do that,
they then try to cut these programs and thankfully,
they've failed. They failed a number of times
[00:05:34]
to do that, but that is the end goal. And they
will keep pushing until they get it and they
will make you grind out literally years of
additional labor before you're finally able
to retire. And who knows what that check will
even look like at that point after they get
to it. So just understand going into these midterms,
the stakes almost could not be higher. I don't
[00:05:52]
know if you have big plans for the summer, but
I do know that prices are going up, travel
is getting harder. If 40 does about anything
is pretty difficult. What if something could
become drastically cheaper for the summer? What
about your phone bill? Wouldn't that be amazing?
Well, it could be actually, because new noble
mobile customers can look forward to their
[00:06:11]
first three months free. It get you all the
way through the summer, no tricks, no catch,
no pay basically. The whole summer totally
free and you can then take that money and plow
it into doing stuff. that's actually fun. And
then even afterward, you might have a bill,
but you don't use phone that much. You don't
use that much data. Maybe you actually get
[00:06:28]
cash back at the end. It could be a really nice
cycle even once you get past this promotional
period. If you want to find out more about
