Republican House Speaker PANICS When Cornered On Colossal Trump Payout From Tax Funds
Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson quickly tries to change the subject when a reporter corners him on outrageous personal payout to Donald Trump from taxpayer funds due to his lawsuit against the IRS in attempt to get family audits dropped. John Iadarola and Jackson White break it down on The Damage Report. Leave a comment with your thoughts below!

Do you think that the Justice Department
ought to settle because of its $10 billion
lawsuit over the leak of its tax returns? Is
that appropriate? Is there a conflict of interest
there? One of the things that is not in my
purview is the Department of Justice, and
[00:00:17]
how they evaluate cases and resolution of all
that. I don't know, I haven't thought about
that or read into it. I get enough to grace
over every day, okay? So go ask the executive
branch about it, all right? I got enough to
say grace over. I don't have to think about
what could be the most out and out corrupt act
that has ever happened in our country. Is
[00:00:36]
that my purview, the Department of Justice?
Don't Google, if I've ever weighed in on what
the DOJ has done before. Don't Google if I always
had something to say when it was Joe Biden.
Don't Google that, please. I'm just, get off
my back, man. I'm a tiny little coward. Obviously,
[00:00:59]
it's crazy that Donald Trump is gonna do this.
Obviously, it's corrupt, but if I say that,
I'll lose my job. So that's the truth of what's
going on. Mike Johnson never lost an opportunity
to comment when it was Joe Biden, even if it
was conspiratorial, absolute nonsense. But
[00:01:17]
now, they're talking about handing $10 billion
of our dollars over to Donald Trump with the
case being adjudicated between his personal
lawyers on one side. his personal lawyers
on the other side. And the Speaker of the House,
who sure doesn't seem to like the speaking
[00:01:35]
part of that job, has nothing to say about it.
Okay, I've got something to say about it. We're
going to catch everybody up on the facts. We're
going see what Jackson has to say about it.
So right now, yes, the DOJ is considering how
much money do we give Donald Trump? Do we
[00:01:51]
give him 1 billion? Do we give him 5 billion?
I don't know. Donald Trump's other post personal
lawyer, how much do you think we should give
him? That's what's going on right now. So in
January, Trump with two of his sons and the
Trump family business sued the IRS for $10
billion over the leak of their tax returns
during the president's first term, which I
[00:02:09]
will remind you a guy is already in prison for
having been done. They argued that the IRS
should have done more to prevent a former contractor
from disclosing tax information to the New
York Times and ProPublica. Again, he's in prison
right now for doing that. He's in prison. Donald
[00:02:25]
Trump is not in prison for all that he's done.
The crimes he's committed in full plain view.
That guy's in prison, but Trump deserves $10
billion because obviously all of the damage
that was done to his businesses and his reputation
and his electoral fortunes when we found out
[00:02:40]
that he doesn't pay any taxes. Oops, there
was no damage done whatsoever because we are
the dumbest least serious country in world history.
We can find out. that this billionaire never
pays any taxes and has been lying about being
audited. And it doesn't hurt him at all.
[00:02:55]
There's literally no damages. So how can there
possibly be money as recompense for damages?
It seems ridiculous. I'll leave the facts to
legal eagle. We will proceed with just another
brief description. Generally, for a lawsuit
to be valid, the two parties must actually
be on opposite sides. Otherwise, the judge
can throw out the case. In this case, obviously
[00:03:15]
they're on the same side. The DOJ, is literally
being led by Todd Blanch, who is a personal
lawyer to Donald Trump, who replaced the previous
AG, who was also a personal lawyer to Donald
Trump. It's all Donald Trump's lawyers bargaining
over how much money to give him. That is obviously
[00:03:35]
ridiculous. Now let's make it just slightly
more ridiculous. In addition to the money
perhaps, they're talking about potentially dropping
any audits of Trump, his family or businesses.
First of all, I don't even know if I actually
care about that because I don't believe the
[00:03:52]
audits are happening and I don't think anything
will come of them. But even okay, let's say
that you do think that they're a serious thing.
What possible reason would you have to drop
the audits? Because we did find out that he's
been committing tax fraud. He's not paying
his taxes. That's reason to do deeper audits,
not to just free him up. But why not Jackson?
[00:04:13]
mean, the Supreme Court has already said he
can do literally anything he wants. He can
commit any crime. Why shouldn't the IRS get
on board at this point? What do you think?
I mean, yeah, why not? ABC gave him what $16
million? This dude has like $350 million in
[00:04:31]
a slush fund account in Qatar after they gave
him a half billion dollar jet. uh The first
oil sales from Venezuela went to, I can't remember
the name of the organization, but some pack
that gave him a bunch of money. The Board of
Peace that he has that he's the president for
[00:04:49]
life of, he funneled over a billion dollars
in taxpayer money to that and he has control
over it. All the crypto deals, mean, this
man is so corrupt, it's Like how we ever gonna
be outraged about anything again in our lives?
Like there's just no chance that anyone, well,
[00:05:08]
let me not say that, but there's just a very
low chance that it will ever see this level
of corruption again. It's $10 billion from
the IRS for what? A penny from the IRS is
[00:05:23]
too much for this, but $10 billion, there was
no thought process that went into that. You
didn't do any math. You just woke up one day
and said I want billions of dollars from the
IRS. That's all this is. And Mike Johnson,
a couple of days ago, he's up there and he
[00:05:41]
says, uh basically in the Bill of Rights, our
natural rights are given to us by God, not
by the government. Dude, shut up. The government
can take away your rights. So what are you
even there for? What are you there for other
than to kiss Trump's boots? Yeah, and also
[00:06:01]
he's not even playing out the part well, Mike
Johnson. Donald Trump has placed you in the
congressional cuck chair. You're sitting there,
you're supposed to comment on it as the guy
sleeps with your constitution. You're supposed
to chime in from time to time. How do you not
[00:06:17]
know? Anyway, the entire thing is utterly frustrating.
Also, this is a hypothetical. Let me first
lay out, as I've said many times, political
violence is never acceptable. But to respond
to a comment that the media made in uh response
to the White House Correspondents Dinner attempted
[00:06:34]
shooting where they were like, why would a
person do this? I mean, they're robbing us
of $10 billion of taxpayer money. Don't do this,
never do this, it's terrible to do this. But
that might go a ways towards explaining why
a deranged person might- they should do something
[00:06:54]
when this sort of stuff is happening. Especially
when it comes on the back of so much other
blatant corruption, like Donald Trump pardoning
a tax cheat after his mother attended a $1
million dinner. So Donald Trump made a million
dollars to pardon a tax cheat. He pardoned
Julian Todd Chrisley, also frauds, tax evaders.
Pardoned Palm Beach Gardens tax cheat two weeks
[00:07:14]
after the judge sentenced him to prison. Pardoned
former New York representative Michael Grimm
after tax fraud, just fraud after fraud after
fraud after fraud and he sets them free. generally
after they've committed even more fraud by bribing
the President of United States. These are the
sorts of things that are floating around the
zeitgeist that might lead a deranged person
[00:07:31]
to do something insane. And meanwhile, like
we're focusing on Mike Johnson, he's the Speaker
of the House, the rest of them are scarcely
any better. John Thune was asked about this.
He said he was unfamiliar with the case. He
asked to clarify, wait, do you mean 10 million
[00:07:46]
or 10 billion? Billion, 10 billion, that is
news to me. Fault question. Should it be? Should
it be news to you that he's gonna take $10 billion?
What the? I can't swear he could rob you of
[00:08:01]
$10 billion, but I can't say the F word on YouTube.
Shouldn't you know that they're gonna rob
us of $10 billion? You are the majority leader
of the greatest deliberative body in world
history, and you don't know that they're gonna
rob us of $10 billion? Representative Don
[00:08:19]
Bacon, said he thinks it looks bad.
And that is the best response from a Republican
we've been able to get Jackson. What do think?
[00:08:36]
uh Well, we are in a bit of a pickle here.
I will say that. mean, I don't know, it's
not my job to know anything. I'm only one of
the most powerful people literally on the planet.
It's not my job to know things. But it's the
Republican Party, and this is why we're seeing
[00:08:57]
them. worked so hard over time to destroy the
democratic process. I mean, what is the organization
anymore? What is it? uh Besides bending over
backwards for Donald Trump literally at every
corner, except for, and I always have to point
this out, they'll do anything Trump wants
[00:09:17]
except good things for the public. Except that.
One of the things that was part of Donald
Trump's platform was something called favored
nation policy. And the goal of it was to lower
prescription drug prices and Republican after
Republican was like, nope. No, we're not doing
[00:09:36]
that. We'll do everything else. We won't do
that. And also you will I mean, he's pardoned
so many people, but he also pardoned Juan Hernandez,
the big time coke trafficker. And then he
pardoned Steve Womack's son, who was uh in
prison. He was doing a federal sentence for
[00:09:53]
selling methamphetamine. And this is the same
administration that we're blowing up fishermen
off the coast of Venezuela and saying that they're
drug boats, so we have the right to kill them.
Meanwhile, you're pardoning people who are
doing a fed sentence for meth. It's complete
[00:10:12]
incoherency.
