Everything apparently is bigger in Texas, including the brown nosing. So I want you to take a look at what John Cornyn is doing in a desperate bid to get Donald Trump's endorsement. He posted this on Twitter. I am proud to introduce legislation to rename US Highway 287 as Interstate 47 in [00:00:17] honor of our 47th President Donald Trump. My bill will upgrade one of our nation's longest highways to a future interstate and save more than $5 billion in travel costs. all while honoring the most effective and influential president of our lifetime. I love him, he just [00:00:33] smells so good, not like ketchup and poop at all. Please Trump love me back, please endorse me daddy. He left that off, that was over the character limit on Twitter. But anyway, yeah, he's gonna rename another thing after Trump, despite the fact that Donald Trump doesn't [00:00:49] live in Texas, has no connection to Texas, doesn't care about our highway system, doesn't know how to drive a car. Sure, name it after him. We're gonna focus again on the bootlicking in just a second. But first, he wants to make it seem as if he's doing something other than [00:01:05] just renaming the highway after Trump. I mean, he focuses on all these upgrades, right? Yeah, he got fact checked a little bit on the upgrades. Because the community note pointed out, the bill designates US 287 as future Interstate 47, but does not fund or require highway upgrades. [00:01:21] The $5 billion travel cost savings are from a Texas DOT feasibility study on potential upgrades, not the bill itself. The bill doesn't do any of that, it literally just renames it after Trump. Yes, there have been studies that if they make an interstate and if they do upgrades, [00:01:38] it can save the money. His bill doesn't actually do that. So anyway, as of right now, Donald Trump still has not actually weighed in on the battle between John Cornyn and Ken Paxton. He says he's going to, but he's sure biding his time. Again, for the same reason he didn't [00:01:55] do it before the first vote. He doesn't know who's going to win, and he doesn't want to come out supporting the loser. And so he's yet to actually say anything. As recently as Saturday, he was offered an opportunity to endorse one. And he instead told reporters, we have a great Attorney General Ken Paxton, and we have a great Senator John Cornyn. Please get off my [00:02:16] back, I don't want to have to pick a losing horse. And so that's something that John Cornyn can do, I guess he can try to rename it. Ken Paxton, the ball's in your court, or maybe Donald Trump's balls are in your court. I don't know what you guys are to do next to try to get his favor. What do you think Sharon? It's just so pathetic that grown men who actually [00:02:36] have some power are reduced to this kind of boot licking nonsense. with Donald Trump who happens to occupy the White House, yes, but it's like they have no shame. They wanna hold on to power so badly that they'll do whatever dear leader says, they'll do whatever they [00:02:54] can to curry favor. And to me as a voter, that would make me vote less for someone, okay, not more, okay? But hey, that's just me. Yeah, and look, it's so transparent and it's so sad, It's Trump, it might actually work. And by the way, and finally, I'm not gonna speak for [00:03:14] Sharon, but I just wanna be clear that in these contexts, when I use the term bootlicking, I don't mean boot, I'm just not allowed to use the other B in that context.
