Erika Kirk's Speech UNRAVELS As College Graduation Declaration Proves Hypocrisy

Erika Kirk's speech to college graduates telling women not to pursue secondary callings outside their families backfires to highlight her own hypocrisy. John Iadarola and Sharon Reed break it down on The Damage Report. Leave a comment with your thoughts below!

Erica Kirk for some reason delivered a commencement address at Hillsdale College and it rapidly got pretty damn ironic. Take a look. Charlie would often encourage people like Dr. Arn said to get married young, not rushed, not rushed, but young. And congrats to those who [00:00:21] have been married or are married in this room, but it's special. You'd also say have more kids than you can afford. But I just wanna encourage all of you to the men you are called to provide. You are called [00:00:37] to lead, to anchor your families in strength and consistency. To the women you are called to nurture, to build, to shape lives with wisdom and endurance. These are not secondary callings. They are among the most significant ways a life can [00:00:57] be rightly ordered. Okay, so there's a lot going on. First of all, question of why is she doing a commencement address? I our country is filled with academics and leaders and artists and all that stuff. Okay, I guess you can have Erica Kirk, I suppose. We could talk briefly [00:01:14] about how she transitioned from that big grin to the death stare in a microsecond. That was- There was a lot going on in that emotional transition, but let's talk about the message. I mean, that's what she's there to deliver. So of course, there is the automatic baked [00:01:31] in irony of Erica Kirk going to a college to effectively tell at least half of the people there. Let's be real, you shouldn't have done this. It was a waste of your time. ah After all, you only know about her because her husband's career was telling people effectively. don't [00:01:50] go to college. College is bad and indoctrinates you. Never mind the fact that all the politicians he supports all went to like the Ivy League or whatever. He constantly worshiped these politicians that went to Princeton and went to Yale and went to Harvard and all that stuff. They wanted their side to have gone, but then they would bad mouth people who choose to go [00:02:08] to college. So she goes there to do that. And she's not going to do it to the men. She tells them that they should lead naturally. They're there to lead. But the women like, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's good that you got your little career or whatever. But now you're going to go and you're going to nurture, you're going to start up a family or whatever. And I just think it's [00:02:24] so deeply ironic. First of all, if it's men's natural role to lead, why the hell are you the CEO of that organization? Why haven't you stepped aside and let one of the gender that God has chosen to lead such things do so? Why are you still sitting? I mean, I'll remind [00:02:40] everyone, she has no qualifications for the position. It feels like it would be a pretty easy thing to step aside from. And yet, she really wants to be the leader. She really wants to have a career and not just one career, by the way. She has a lot of secondary callings [00:02:56] when you look into it. She is the CEO of Turning Point USA on merit. She's on the advisory board of the US Air Force Academy, the owner of Proclaims Streetwear. Maybe that's the one that makes the Rhythm Nation clothes she was wearing, I don't know. Founder of Bible in 365 Ministry Program, the host of a podcast as well. Now I'll just remind everyone. One [00:03:16] would think her primary callings were supposed to be as she often will tell you, following Jesus and leading her family. And yet, she's got as many other jobs as Elon Musk. the reason I'm being so sarcastic is, of course you do. People want to do things. People want to start [00:03:35] things. They want to lead things. They want to participate in things. And she clearly does too. She just knows. that to be accepted in her movement, she needs to pretend to believe that women aren't supposed to do that. I mean, forget about me, don't focus on me. And Candace [00:03:51] Owens can do a bunch of stuff. And I guess Megyn Kelly is okay, they all want to go to college. They all want to have a bunch of jobs and start up a bunch of business or whatever, forget about that. But the rest of you women, bow the F down to the men in your life. Conservative men, do you see me telling other women to bow down? Do you accept me? Can I keep as the head [00:04:08] of the Turning Point USA? Can I start up these other corporations? Can I have the freedom that I will advocate other women lose? That's the strategy that we're seeing here and I find it to be utterly grotesque. What do you think Sharon? I'm dead out. It's completely grotesque. [00:04:24] Here is a woman who's the epitome of a grift in my view, and you can go further. Of course, I believe and you believe that women can do and should do whatever they want to do here, go for it. But that's not what she's saying except when it applies to her, as you pointed [00:04:40] out, and the money flows to her and she can be an influencer here. I would also though point out that her husband was murdered. We all know what happened there. She has children depending on her and yet she's out here doing this thing. I don't have a problem with that. [00:04:55] I'm just saying that that's what her movement would say about what she's doing, particularly after what children would have endured and their father went through. Shouldn't she be at home full time helping the children? That's what the movement would tell somebody like us. [00:05:13] just stop. It's like when Trump said, I like the uneducated or whatever he said. They want you to go without, be less than you're capable of being. while they, it just makes it easier. It makes it easier to take from you. 100%, yeah. Look, if there was a liberal Erica Kirk, Erica [00:05:34] Kirk would do podcast episodes attacking her. Let's be very clear about that. And look, I don't think that we're being especially unfair to Erica. This is the same hypocritical grift that every woman who attempts to ingratiate herself to the conservative movement has to [00:05:50] do. They have to preach for other women to do the stuff that every single day they refuse to do themselves. Because they want the freedom that our side advocates for all people, including all women. By the way, there are some students there who had a problem with her being chosen [00:06:07] as the commencement speaker and I can understand why. Even if you're going to have a conservative, you could have a conservative judge. You could have a member of Congress. You could have a conservative journalist or something. Erica Kirk was just married to Charlie Kirk, and [00:06:23] then he died. And now she sits in his podcast chair, whatever, like laser burning a hole in the camera lens. I think that there are more qualified people. But again, DEI, based on ideology, is alive and well on the right wing movement. Not only can you get commencement [00:06:43] addresses just because of how you self identify if you're conservative, you even get a degree. Both she and Charlie got degrees from the university. Which I just, again, I think is so ironic that they will tell people not to get the degrees that they work and pay for. But then they just [00:06:59] go around the country gobbling up free ones that get handed to them. Again, it's a nice participation trophy if it's offered to you. You know what TYT has always been about? Taking on the corrupt, greedy establishment. For us, it's the corporate media. We've been fighting that fight for over 20 years.
