Trump LOSES Control With Outrageous US Passport Photo Redesign

Donald Trump can't control himself from ordering his photo be put on yet another US document redesign, as plans to put Trump's face in a limited run of passports by the State Department are revealed. John Iadarola and Sharon Reed break it down on The Damage Report. Leave a comment with your thoughts below!

Donald Trump seems to understand on a deep visceral level that when he dies, no one is going to honor him. So he's just insisting that it happen every day so he can see it right now. Now, he wants to force you to carry around yet another picture of him in your pocket. Because take [00:00:18] a look at this, that is an image of a proposed revision to a passport that will have his image in it. According to the bulwark, there will be a limited run of 25,000 of these Trump passports, which are still waiting to be approved. The current US passport includes an image of Mount [00:00:35] Rushmore, which obviously has depictions of four presidents. But you will be shocked to find out yet again, this would be the first ever time that a sitting US president or just one who was like had been an actual picture will be in a passport. No foreign passports [00:00:51] have included pictures of heads of state. US passports have previously carried the signature of the Secretary of State. not the president. So we've never done it before. No other country has ever done it before. But for Donald Trump, it has to have his picture. It has to have [00:01:06] his strokey uh signature. It has to because if he goes five minutes without seeing his name or his picture, he will just die. And so they're once again justifying it as they are with basically every time that they slap his ugly mug on something. Well, it's because [00:01:23] of 250th anniversary of American independence. So we have to, I mean, we have 250 years of a tradition of us not filleting the president every way possible. So why don't we mark that 250 years by all of a sudden doing it everywhere? And let me just recap what he has put his name [00:01:41] or picture on. And I'm sure we've forgotten stuff. This is what we could remember. The $1 coin, the dollar bill signature, the Trump gold card, which doesn't even really exist. Trump Rx, the National Park Card, which has his face, the Trump Institute of Peace, the [00:01:57] Trump Kennedy Center, the DOJ building, the Department of Labor building had his face on it, I just remembered. The Department of Agriculture building, the presidential walk of fame, and I'm sure it goes on and on and on and on. There were warnings about golden calves, [00:02:14] and yet we're still doing this everywhere and literally in gold form. This is a statue he just had installed of him at his golf course in Miami. It's like a seven meter tall golden statue of that time that he sort of got shot at and eventually got up off the ground. You [00:02:33] remember that it was a picture of courage that he didn't stay down on the ground for the rest of his natural life. He eventually stood up and was capable of lifting his hand and all of us were very, very impressed by what a big boy he was. Yeah, no, that's a massive statue again. Because it wasn't enough that he sees that image everywhere he goes online. It now [00:02:49] needs to be there. And if it's not dumb enough for you, it was paid for by a cryptocurrency group. So it's got that going for it as well. It costs $360,000. Don't use that money to help out MAGA people who are struggling financially. No, just do it for another gold statue of Donald [00:03:07] Trump. Sharon, what do you think? He's a pig. I'm sorry, but he's a pig. And people like to say for a long time that it's women who we have this vanity and want to see ourselves. So Mary, you can never walk past it without looking at for some reason, it's this guy, [00:03:24] this Shrek guy who thinks that he should be plastered on anything. But it's a page right out of a dictator's book. This is what they do, perhaps not even at this level, but it is what dictators do when you go to their countries. They're celebrated, there's statues, there's- [00:03:40] living dictators are on money and things which he'd like to do as well. I have a passport that's up for renewal and I've got a race to get it in, okay? Because I don't want that, it lasts for ten years. And I'm supposed to open it up, go on a holiday one day and have [00:03:58] to open it to this fool's page now. You did remind me of the only positive way to approach this is that the passport will last for ten years, but almost certainly Donald Trump will not. So I guess that's the good news, I suppose. Threat, threat. I get him wanting his name [00:04:15] on things, because we put names of people on things to honor them for the great things they've done. So he thinks if I force it, it's as if I did great things, I get that. The picture though, I will just never understand wanting that picture of yourself everywhere. If that [00:04:33] is what your face actually looked like, why would you want a reminder constantly? of what time has done to you. But he apparently is as face blind as he is dumb to everything else. Okay, with that said, I have a related topic. I just want to briefly cover this. So we've [00:04:50] talked a lot on this program about the stupid cost of Donald Trump's stupid ballroom. And they are putting a massive amount of money in there. And we will eventually find out that it cost $800, $900 million. And we'll eventually find out that a bunch of that was utterly corrupt and probably went back to the Trump family. But even before we get to that, there's some [00:05:09] things going on with the payments for projects that is increasingly suspicious and I think deserving of deep investigation. Ken Klippenstein, get on this thing because apparently the Trump administration has covertly granted the private company building the ballroom project, a no bid federal contract for a different project near the White House. And what they did is [00:05:29] they took the previous estimate for how much it would cost and they quintupled it for no apparent reason by the way. So they've allocated $17 million for a project that Joe Biden said would cost $3 million, which is suspiciously like what they're saying the Fed is doing with [00:05:47] their own building. You know how fired up they get about that? In this particular case, they just massively expanded it, very strange. The National Park Service project, which will be paid for with federal money, this is not Mark Zuckerberg, we're paying for it, was originally estimated to cost $3.3 million, according to calculations done in 2022. But the Trump administration [00:06:06] inflated that to $11.9 million and then later tacked on provisions to raise the value even more to $17.4 million. And so, okay, so we think it's gonna cost $3 million already a lot. uh They're now saying it's gonna cost more. Wouldn't you want to then open it up to competitive [00:06:24] bids to maybe get the price back down to where we thought it was gonna be? In this particular case, no. They go with the higher estimate and then they tack on more and then they say, there will be no competition in this. Isn't it interesting that the company that's building the ballroom [00:06:40] all of a sudden gets a gift of millions and millions of additional dollars for seemingly no reason, with no competitive bidding, no disclosure. We don't know why the price has gone up. Does this not seem like a wild, wild corruption, just basically out in front of [00:06:58] all of us? And I don't know how much more information we can get. I don't know if there could be a FOIA request. I don't know what disclosure there could be. But I feel like there are crimes being committed in this. You know what TYT has always been about? Taking on the corrupt, establishment. For us, it's the corporate media. We've been fighting that fight for over 20 [00:07:14] years. For the cell phone industry, it's the same story. A handful of massive corporations ripping you off. That's why we're partnering with NobleMobile. They're the only wireless company with the same mission as ours, to fight back. Their Noble plan offers unlimited data for just $50 a month. But here's the best part, for any data that you don't use, you get cash [00:07:32] back. Real money you can spend however you want. Stop letting your unused data pad the pockets of billionaires. With Noble, you take control over your data. And by switching to Noble, you're directly supporting TYT in our mission of bringing you honest, independent news. So give Noble a try and make the switch today. Scan the QR code on the screen now or visit [00:07:51] go.tyt.com slash plan. That's go.tyt.com slash plan. What do think Sharon? Definitely crimes have been committed and hopefully there'll be arrests made. I don't know what else to say about it except that this is the only way that we're going to get this thing back is if we [00:08:09] claw all of it back and say we're not going to put up with any of this nonsense. It's like that zero tolerance line that your parents used to, well, you probably didn't get it because you were probably like, you probably listened to everything your parents said. I didn't and I had to get constant consequences and people drawing oh limits and boundaries which I then [00:08:28] walked over. But I don't get any of this and I don't think we're going to. Yeah, it seems absurd to me. ah there's a lot that has to be clawed back and I think the money has to be brought back and the name needs to be taken off things. And then you might think, well, there's some stuff that if he builds the arch, what are you gonna do? I think we convert [00:08:47] it. I think we take that arch, which is supposed to be about victory or whatever, and it's just abstract and vague. It's not about anything in particular, Trump just likes it. And I think we redo it as an actual memorial to the victory over fascism. One side of it, will [00:09:02] be the victory back in the 40s, defeating the Italians, defeating the Germans and all that. And then the other side will be the modern day fight against modern day fascism, the need to take it down and to fight against the jingoism and the propaganda and the corporate control of our media. And just all the need to be ever vigilant against fascism. I think that's something [00:09:20] that would actually be worthy of taking a glance at as you drive through our nation's capital. And it will really-. If they dedicate it, can Jimmy Kimmel emcee it? I think that would be perfect. I think that would be great. I like it. I like it. Let's do a massive golden statue [00:09:36] of Jimmy Kimmel. I'm not even like that big of a fan of him. I just know that it would bother Donald Trump.
