Trump's Ballroom Scheme ESCALATES After Shooting With Insane Legal Ultimatum
Donald Trump and his lackies, including AG Todd Blanche and GOP Senators, immediately manipulate shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner to announce an ultimatum for lawsuit against Trump's ballroom. Yasmin Kahn and Jayar Jackson break it down on The Damage Report. Leave a comment with your thoughts below!

I will say, it's not a particularly secure
building. And I didn't wanna say this, but
this is why we have to have all of the attributes
of what we're planning at the White House.
[00:00:16]
It's actually a larger room and it's much more
secure. It's got proof, it's bullet proof
glass, we need the ballroom. That's why Secret
Service, that's why the military are demanding
it. They've wanted the ballroom for 150 years
for lots of different reasons. But today's
[00:00:33]
a little bit different because today we need
levels of security that probably nobody's ever
seen before. The Republicans have decided to
politicize this shooting incident, but not
for a gun control or anything that would actually
help the American people or keep people safe.
[00:00:53]
But Trump took it as a sign that this is why
we need his ballroom. This is what Americans
need, not just him, but Americans, even though
most of us will never sit in that ballroom.
So here is Trump pushing it again on Truth Social.
He posted this long post. ah My God, it says
[00:01:11]
so much. says, For the last 150 years, the
people have been demanding that a large, safe,
and secure ballroom be built on the grounds
of the White House. For the last 150 years,
he said, people have been demanding this. This
event would never have happened with the military
[00:01:27]
top secret ballroom currently under construction
at the White House. It cannot be built fast
enough. While beautiful, it has every highest
level security feature there is. Plus there
are no rooms sitting on top for unsecured people
to pour in and is inside the gates of the
[00:01:43]
most secure building of the world. The ridiculous
ballroom lawsuit brought by a woman walking
her dog who has absolutely no standing to bring
such a suit must be dropped immediately. Blah,
blah, thank you for your attention to this matter.
And after he posted all of that, all of his
[00:01:59]
sick offense, they all chimed in on X. And
here, just look at this. It's all the usual
suspects all saying the exact same thing, because
let's give credit where it's due. They are
great at falling in line and just doing exactly
as they're told and saying exactly as they're
[00:02:15]
told. But it's not just whining on Twitter that
we're seeing. There is action that is taking
place in response to this. We have Todd Blanch,
who is our, what is he, our acting attorney
general now, demanding a lawsuit against Trump's
ballroom be dropped. He posted this on X and
[00:02:34]
he says it's time to build the ballroom. And
here's just part of what that letter says that
he attached there. It says your client should
voluntarily dismiss this frivolous lawsuit
today in light of last night's assassination
attempt on President Trump. How convenient.
If your client does not dismiss the lawsuit
by 9am on Monday. So what is that? That's
[00:02:54]
passed. The government will move to dissolve
the injunction and dismiss the case in light
of last night's extraordinary events. and convenient
events. This lawsuit is on behalf of a single
person who walks in the vicinity of the White
House once a month and expects to dislike the
East Wing's new design. The passing aesthetic
gripe of a single person cannot possibly justify
[00:03:14]
delaying the construction of a secure facility
for the President to do his job. How is the
President doing his job this entire time? I
have no idea. So do we need to rush? into
anything, right? We need to build this ballroom,
we need to hurry up and get it built. But what
[00:03:32]
about gun laws? Is now the time to talk about
gun laws? We've been waiting for the time for
a long time. Every time something happens,
they say, don't talk about it, it's too soon.
And then when it's too soon, they're like,
why are you talking about that now? Well,
here is what A.G. Blanch says. He said, this
is not the time to change gun laws. Who is
[00:03:53]
surprised by any of this? So Republican Senator
Tim Sheehy said that this week he will request
unanimous consent for legislation to express
support for the creation of the ballroom.
And here's what he had to say, he said, it's
an embarrassment to the strongest nation on
[00:04:08]
Earth that we cannot host gatherings in our
nation's capital, including ones attended
by our president without the threat of violence
and attempted assassinations. ah Yeah, if you
don't want attempted assassinations, maybe he
could try to be a little bit nicer to people
[00:04:23]
that might help, right? Also, it is embarrassing,
guess for who though, I don't know, they wanna
make this into the Kremlin. They want the Winter
Palace in St. Petersburg or something. But
Trump knocked, he already knocked it down, right?
The East Wing is already gone. He's already
[00:04:41]
bulldozed it without any kind of congressional
approval or anything like that. And uh so
something has to be built there. So now Trump
is gonna build his ballroom with our money.
He says with donations, I'm sorry, he's gonna
build it with donations, which is arguably
worse. So JR, this is why people think it was
fake, because he needed a justification for
[00:05:03]
whatever he's got going on. There's a lawsuit
that's holding up his progress. What do you
make of this response? The convenience of the
worst things to ever happen to this president
as he's been attempted to be killed for the
28th time, it's amazing, right? And now it
[00:05:18]
just lines up perfectly for him to pitch his
ballroom. But I want us to remember something.
Remember when the ballroom was a ballroom?
And then they were talking about how it's just
for events. And then after this lawsuit that
they're very upset about, forced the exposure
of the fact that it's actually a bunker under
the ballroom, which people that were crazy
[00:05:34]
with Trump derangement syndrome were saying
from the beginning. They then had to admit
that it's actually a bunker, secure bunkers
so we can have underground, apparently, uh
parties with a bunch of rich folks. So now that
they moved on to that and no one likes that,
they need some justification for this bunker.
And since it's now a bunker, they're going
[00:05:50]
to say, well, we have this really bad event
that happened and now all these MAGA influencers
and minions in our government are pitching
the same story. Where he sits forward, says
he's a badass, want to go back inside and
continue the event anyway, but we definitely
need that ballroom with prepared remarks. I
know, I guess people can write things up quickly,
[00:06:10]
but all of this is prepared and ready to go.
It's like, everything he says doesn't make
any sense. And we're supposed to be stupid enough
to keep buying it. And even if it was real,
no one's going to be stupid enough to buy it.
Let's talk about that funding that continues
[00:06:25]
to slowly get exposed that has nothing to do
with anyone that's on the up and up dark money
being put forward to pay for this ballroom.
By whom? With what kinds of incentives or requests
in return for their money? because no one with
money gives it away for nothing. But we're
[00:06:41]
supposed to forget that part. All of this disgusting.
But we're again supposed to feel sorry for
a bunch of rich people that want to have parties
where they joke and laugh and eat really fancy
dinners. And then exclude everyone else that
they've cut programs for from healthcare to
[00:06:56]
food stamps to childcare to anything else. And
we're supposed to hear them cry and complain
about this and go, my God, can't eat, fired
everybody that he could. But let's feel sorry
for these sorry sons of bitches that want to
go in and have more parties so we can watch
[00:07:11]
them laugh and chuck it up. Why would anybody
give a damn about any of that? That's what
they expect from us though. I think it's about
time we stop making them think that we should
fall for any more of this. That's why they're
doing this. Why would anybody care that they're
under attack when we're literally under attack?
We watch people and citizens in the streets
[00:07:29]
get killed by our government in front of us.
And then we also pay for us to kill other innocent
people in other countries with our money. And
we're supposed to watch them laugh and chuck
it up and feel sorry for them that they can't
do it securely. Are you kidding me? Yeah,
[00:07:45]
and it's also, it feels a little reminiscent
of Luigi Mangione because like, this terrible
thing happened to these terrible people and
the American people do not care about it as
much as it seems they seem to think that we
should. It's really hard to garner sympathy.
[00:08:03]
for any of the people who are uh targeted that
night, I should say. And also a lot of people,
and we gotta get a break, but a lot of people
who were there at the correspondence dinner
that night, journalists, all of them, most of
them, uh they have come out saying, including,
[00:08:19]
I should say, including left wing or more neutral
reporters have come out saying that there
really wasn't a whole lot of security. that
night and almost to the point that it was
kind of comical and they were like, why isn't
there more the president's gonna be here to,
not just the president, but the whole line of
succession, everybody was there, so.
