You saw the best resolve of American law enforcement because you Mr. President inspire them 24 7 365. You give them the resources that they need and you know, they know that you have their back. And that is a changing dynamic in this country. And that's why you saw brave Secret Service agents respond immediately, swiftly, subdue and take down the suspect and safeguard [00:00:18] the lives of thousands of individuals at that hotel. My God, what a dork all that glazing and for what, know, so setting all of that aside though, the White House Correspondents Dinner as I'm sure you've heard was postponed after a shooter fired shots in the lobby area. So [00:00:36] thankfully no one was killed. There was one officer who was injured, but he has since been released from the hospital. But the shooter has by now been identified as 31 year old Cole Thomas Allen. So here are the details as we have them so far. Cole Allen was 31 and he's [00:00:53] from Torrance, California. He was a mechanical engineer, video game developer and an educator who actually won a Teacher of the Month award in 2024. He was a former high school volleyball teammate and his former teammate described him as a borderline genius and super stable, [00:01:11] which is what you say about someone who is I guess not very stable. He said he was probably the most gentle person on the team, which makes it even more shocking that he did this. So we do have details of his thinking from writings he had, he did release his manifesto. So ahead [00:01:27] of the shooting, Allen sent his family members writings that displayed anti-Trump sentiment and described his targets as administration officials. A senior administration official told NBC News, the official said the suspect's brother notified police in Connecticut upon [00:01:43] receiving the writings in which Allen apologizes to family and friends, but says that he does not expect forgiveness. And his sister, Averyana Allen, described him to law enforcement as having a tendency toward making radical comments, as well as constantly referring to a plan [00:02:01] to fix issues with the world, which is, that is a little suspect. If somebody I knew in my life kept referring to his plan to fix the world, yeah, I think I'd be a little worried. But the suspect will be charged. with using a firearm during a crime of violence and assault [00:02:18] on a federal officer with a dangerous or deadly weapon. And he was expected to be arraigned Monday night. So before we discuss JR, there are some highlights from Trump's comments right after the shooting that I wanna show everyone. Take a look at this. We're going to reschedule, [00:02:35] we're gonna do it again. We're not gonna let anybody take over our society. We're not gonna cancel things out, cuz we can't do that. We wanted to say tonight, I will tell you, I- I fought like hell this day. But there was protocol, they said please sir, because they [00:02:53] didn't know there was a lot of action. I don't care how many people you have, how good they are. They can be the greatest people, you have the greatest security in history. If you have a whack job that's got a brain but it's a little bit distorted or a lot distorted, they can [00:03:09] make trouble. I would say Pete, right? They can make trouble. Some of these people are of genius level IQ and they're nuts. It's not gonna deter me from winning the war in Iran. I don't know if that had anything to do with it. I really don't think so, based on what [00:03:28] we know. But we're gonna continue to do a great job, that's all I can do. I don't know what he's talking about. Most of the time when he talks, I don't really know what he talks about anymore because he goes from one thing to the next. He's talking about Iran, he's talking about IQs, who knows what he's even trying to say there. But he said, hold us down, we're [00:03:48] not gonna let these people win. This, by the way, is the third time now that someone has either shot at him or was shooting. at a place where he sort of was and Trump was asked, why do think this keeps happening to you? And here is what he said and he said this not once but [00:04:06] twice, let's listen. I've studied assassinations and I must tell you the most impactful people, the people that do the most. You take a look at the people, Abraham Lincoln, I mean, you go through the people that have gone through this where they got them. But- The people that [00:04:26] do the most, the people that make the biggest impact, they're the ones that they go after. They don't go after the ones that don't do much cuz they like it that way. Really, if you're a consequential president, you're in much more danger than if you're not a consequential [00:04:41] president. Most presidents are not very consequential. They don't do the job that they're supposed to be doing. I don't know if that is even true. Some people just assassinate people because they have [00:04:57] a personal reason. There's a lot of reasons why people get assassinated. uh President Garfield, he was barely president when he got assassinated. But I do want to show the audience that there was a lot of chaos and it's not a laughing matter, but this picture does make me laugh. [00:05:13] Here's a picture of uh Stephen Miller using his wife, his pregnant wife, seemingly as a human shield. Now I do wanna give a shout out to producer Ashley, did say giving him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he was trying to like get her out of there. But the way in which [00:05:31] he chose to oh do this is very interesting. There were a lot of comical images that came out from the shooting. There was a man who just kept eating while everything was going on. There was RFK Jr's wife, who as RFK Jr was being like. surrounded by these Secret Service [00:05:50] agents. His wife was just running behind them like, hello, hello, don't forget about me. That's what happened at the White House Correspondence Center. So it is very scary and we're going to get to some of the aftermath of all of that. But JR, is business as usual it seems in this [00:06:07] country these days. Wasn't scary to a lot of people there from what I saw. Let's not get into that. But I guess you guys giving Stephen Miller some credit for having his wife in front of him leading her out first. And also I guess there's a Secret Service agent behind him who's also grabbing his boob as well. I guess it's a soul train line of people running out with [00:06:27] chests being grabbed, whatever. Sorry, so Donald Trump after this happens, must have let everyone know he's a tough guy. He didn't want it to end. I want to go right back in there, bro. Matter of fact, I didn't know what was going on. I was sitting there looking around as these [00:06:44] things were going on. I was like, wait, I thought we're, let me not get into my thoughts about that. But he seemed a little confused, but he wanted to go right back in there because what he's into is self promotion. He's the presentation president. And then also when [00:06:59] talking about this going on media tours, hitting up every Fox News reporter that he can talk to and show that he can go and talk about and make himself seem like the most important person in the world that everyone wants to target. It only happens to the most consequential people, the people who are willing to do crazy things. They're really going over the top. [00:07:17] I think the only people that want to come after me because I'm just that amazing. Yo, I remember when Barack Obama was in office and they talked about how he's the Antichrist. They talk about how he's trying to suppress all the rights of pure white people in this country. That he's [00:07:32] changing the entire world, race wars would get started. That seems pretty consequential in the way that people may want to get rid of him. uh I guess he wasn't consequential enough. Maybe Donald Trump just talks out of his ass and does everything for the purpose of promoting [00:07:48] himself and making himself look better. Which is why, let's keep it real, the majority of people are not buying this madness. I'm just saying, he's even bringing up the war in Iran. Maybe that's why he did it. Who knows? Maybe that's what's going on. His family complained [00:08:03] about how he hates Christians now. He went through every kind of avenue that he could to try and talk about how everything that this shooter was up to was something that is going to make him look better. Weird how that works for Donald Trump who does nothing but try and make himself look better even when he looks like trash. Yeah, and it's so ironic that he gets up there, [00:08:24] he's talking about Iran. We're going to get to some more reasons as some other things that he's talking about pertaining to this particular incident. Again, this is the third time that his life has been threatened by somebody. It's a lot and there's a lot of misdirection [00:08:41] it feels like. So you can't blame people for being a little bit suspicious about this happening again for the third time. Nothing he says is real. We don't even know what's real anymore. We can't trust anything that comes from anyone in this administration because we know proven, [00:08:57] we know that they lie to us. know that we can't, the things that he says get contradicted either by people within his own administration. Sometimes even by himself and definitely by people from outside of the administration or from even outside of the country. You know what TYT has always been about?
