Uh oh.

Last night at the U.S. Open women’s semi–final match, four climate protestors disrupted play by standing up and shouting “if we don’t disrupt, climate change will." One protestor glued his bare feet to the cement floor, leading to a 49-minute delay in the match until police and medical personnel were able to remove him. Environmental protestors are increasingly using tactics like this to draw public attention to the climate emergency, but there’s disagreement over whether this approach is beneficial to the cause.
