BREAKING UPDATE: Iran AGREES To Reopen The Strait Of Hormuz

Iran will reportedly allow oil, gas and other vessels to proceed through the Strait Of Hormuz if the U.S. holds off on strikes for two weeks.

The New York Times has reported that there's yet another update from Abbas Araqchi, that's the foreign minister of Iran. Now this is in regard to a two week ceasefire, uh which does appear to be developing to be a real thing, which is good news, okay? Now here's what [00:00:16] uh Farhan Fasihi uh over at the New York Times is reporting. I'm going to read from the New York Times verbatim. Iran's foreign minister Abbas Araqchi said in a statement that Iran has agreed to Pakistan's proposal for a ceasefire and that attacks against Iran are halted. [00:00:35] Iran will also cease their defensive operation for a period of two weeks. Safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be possible via coordinating with Iran's armed forces. oh So here are the nuances. First of all, this is a terrific development. Okay, so uh number one, Trump said unilaterally [00:00:56] that we're doing a ceasefire and Iran has agreed to it. When he said that Iran had not agreed to it, it was a Pakistani proposal, not an Iranian or American proposal. So but the fact that Trump said our side will take it as good news, okay? And he even said we're considering Iran's 10 point plan, good news. Iran then comes back and goes, all right, uh We have [00:01:18] not agreed to any of that in the beginning. This is all while we're live, all developing as we speak. Then they said, okay, uh if you say that you're going to cease bombing for uh two weeks and you have agreed to our 10 point plan, we declare victory. So that was the earlier [00:01:37] New York Times report where Iran said uh Trump has agreed to the 10 point plan and will be sending us reparations. And we'll be removing all of American bases from the Gulf states. We haven't agreed to any of that. Trump hasn't agreed to that. But the Iranians are claiming [00:01:54] that we agreed to that. And now this Araki uh update is the last one saying, okay, we will open up the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks. That's the most important development. because now it's become two sided rather than just Trump backing out, right? So guys, look, I hope [00:02:12] that it develops into a deal where we leave. My guess is that Israel will not be happy about that deal and they'll push aggressively to make sure that it doesn't happen. But Trump, does flip flop massively, right? So it's no longer impossible. And for the moment being [00:02:30] the 8pm deadline is off the table, the total annihilation off the table for now. What's going to happen in those two weeks? I guarantee you both sides start reloading. Remember America needs more time for the ground troops to arrive. So that's part of the reason why we want to [00:02:46] delay. And Iran is buying from weapons from Russia and China as fast as they possibly can. Because at the end of the day, America is not going to remove their bases and give into everything Iran wants. We're not going to send them reparations. There is a deal they can have without that, [00:03:02] right? Iran can soften on that. We can soften on, well, we don't really have any demands, only Israel has demands. the only thing we want is reopen the Strait of Hormuz. sorry, this was a really stupid idea on our part, and just come home, right? And I would love that, that [00:03:20] would be awesome. We open the Strait of Hormuz, we don't give up anything otherwise, and we come home. We had no business in this war in the first place. If Iran and Israel want to keep going, that's their business, okay? But it would be terrific if this happened, but hey, I'll take the two week pause. That is a terrific development. So Joe Kent, who [00:03:40] stepped down from the Trump administration over this war with Iran, uh is issuing an emergency message saying that we need to protect the possibility of peace, right? And protect the ceasefire uh by making sure that Israel doesn't eff it up. uh He says that he's worried that Israel [00:04:01] will attempt to sabotage the ceasefire deal. He says now is the time to restrain Israel and cut off its military funding completely. He says Israel's word should never be trusted because they are liars. So now let me back that up with empirical data. So uh Israel has [00:04:17] not listened to any ceasefire they've agreed to before. They agreed to a ceasefire with Hamas and they did not follow through. They kept bombing and bombing and bombing all over Gaza. They did it again today. They kill on average five Palestinians a day. That war is not over, that conflict's not over. Israel continues to slaughter the Palestinians in Gaza. They [00:04:37] made a deal with Hezbollah. Afterwards, Hezbollah did not fire one rocket into Israel. Israel fired over 1,000 rockets into southern Lebanon. They never listened to cease fires and they always try to kill the peace negotiators. So that is why right now, as Ana said earlier [00:04:54] in the show, the Pakistanis should be careful. Because the minute you get an effective peace deal or a ceasefire even, Israelis want to kill you. And-. Literally. Yeah, and it's literally happened to the Hamas negotiators in that were supposed to be very safe in Qatar as we're [00:05:11] working on peace. It's happened a number of times, it's happened to Iranian negotiators before. So and by the way, several times Donald Trump has pretended there was a ceasefire or that he wasn't going to attack and then use that as a way to surprise them and attack Iran [00:05:27] anyway. So this thing is a million miles from over. again, don't like I was in as you saw as we were live today in rage in the beginning of the show. possibility of massive destruction and terrible economic catastrophe that was ahead. So the fact that they're at least pausing for [00:05:46] two weeks is still terrific news. I don't want you to miss that.
