And he then made other videos and other posts about Diet Mountain Dew, like the next 72 hours, to try to lean into it and make it a thing. This didn't land. The guy is inauthentic. He's stiff, he's awkward. [00:05:55] And you see it in this donut video. How long are you here for? How long have you been here for? How long has this place been around? You can't ask. Like, what's your favorite thing about it? What's your favorite flavor? Like, I don't know, when I make small talk with somebody at a restaurant or store, ask them what's their favorite? He can't comprehend the process, and I don't think it's much for him as definitely with Trump. It's just not something they're used to. They especially with Trump, They have people do all [00:06:27] that stuff for them, so they don't. And that was a point that they hammered, I think, effectively at the DNC the past few nights. Do you think Trump has ever been grocery shopping? And when he sends Jay. Yeah. Right. And when he sends JD Vance out to do this stuff, it's clear. [00:06:43] Maybe he hasn't either. Maybe it's been his wife or somebody else or an assistant. This is a pretty simple thing you're ordering at a donut shop or fast food restaurant. Whatever. Place your order like a normal person. He's weird, he's strange, he's stiff, and he's inauthentic. [00:07:01] Yeah, yeah. You know, he has. - Oh, go ahead. - Mondale as a marine. Like I know these. I know the J.D. Vance's of the world. We had these group of guys. We used to. We used to say these guys were bullied in high school, and they joined the Marine Corps to save face. And JD Vance is one of those guys. And as we see, it's not a fix for the craziness or the weirdness of someone who loved couch pillows. It's just no fix for it. Yeah, and I mean super not relatable dudes. [00:07:35] Probably neither have gone grocery shopping in recent years, but somehow they still put the gross in grocery shopping. - I don't know how. - They do it.
