You may not agree with everything you hear on
this broadcast, but we trust you to listen
and we trust you to decide for yourself. Yeah,
so he was right, Tony DeCoppel, in the first
part that a lot of people don't agree with what
they're hearing on the broadcast. But trusting
them to listen, they're not listening anymore.
I think you had too much trust, actually.
[00:00:19]
You should trust them to use their free will
to know that you're a plant from the Trump
administration. You're a regime hack, and they
don't need to waste their limited time on it.
When there are other programs that still have
some sort of respect for journalism, some sort
[00:00:34]
of professional ethics. They don't need to
listen to you and more and more are going away
every day. We've been occasionally checking
in on the ratings fall as CBS has undergone
this MAGA transformation and it continues.
Ratings for the week of April 6 show that DeKalb
[00:00:50]
brought in an average of just 3.81 million total
viewers, 477,000 average viewers in the key
younger demo. That's down 8 % from just the
previous week, down 16 % in the key demo. That
is yet another big fall. in a week. There were
some people I guess that were hanging on as
[00:01:09]
a month goes by two months go by. I mean, I
gotta watch the news, right? There's a war
on but I'm done with this thing. This guy is
terrible. They're never gonna provide critical
coverage of what's going on the administration.
And so people are leaving. March was by the
way, the first time the CBS evening news dropped
below 4 million viewers since the couple took
[00:01:27]
over. And that decline has held steady ever
since. For context, you might think, well,
this is an industry wide thing, right? I mean,
people aren't watching TV. Now they are still
watching some TV news. So if you look at ABC
World News tonight, that averaged 8.42 million
[00:01:42]
total viewers, 1.07 million in the key demo,
that is more than twice as much as CBS Evening
News. NBC Nightly News, they had an average
of 6.43 total viewers, 6.43 million total viewers
and 909,000 in the key demo, almost twice as
much as CBS News. And so almost certainly,
[00:02:02]
they're getting people who used to be CBS Evening
viewers that still want the news. They still
wanna know what's going on, but they want someone
that's gonna tell it like it actually is and
not like Barry Weiss has been ordered by Trump
to tell it like it is. Sharon, I know obviously
[00:02:17]
you have much more of a connection to this sort
of news than me. You're surprised? Do you think
he can turn it around? What do you make of all
this? No, I think that it's gonna keep going
in the downward spiraling direction. He's a
pigeon, a stooge. who should be publicly shunned.
[00:02:33]
He should not be allowed to return to the world
of journalism ever, ever, because he's in propaganda.
And that's different than an actor who's playing
a bad journalist or something. He's doing
whatever he can to undermine the truth. And
by the way, Tony DeCoppel, don't lecture me,
[00:02:52]
but we trust you. No, you don't, because if
you trusted us, you would just tell us the
truth. You're a stooge, you're greedy, you
sold out to the highest bidder. You're not
talented, cuz if you were, they would have plucked
you a long time ago and said, you're the guy,
[00:03:09]
you're the people's choice. Instead, you're
captured, and that's why they put you there.
Disgusting, smarmy, just, he should be mocked.
His children should mock him, and perhaps it's
going too far. But if I were standing at a urinal
in a bathroom next to him, I would mock him,
[00:03:24]
okay? Anywhere he goes, he should be mocked.
That's how dangerous this kind of guy is. Thank
goodness the public's rejecting him. Exactly,
yeah, I'm trying to create the trend of mocking
him. I do it every two weeks or so. I love the
idea that someday he's gonna be standing in
the urinal and he turns to the side and Sharon's
just like, hee Why am I there? Doesn't matter,
[00:03:44]
he'll be mocked. You should probably get out.
I don't know, was Roman Reigns in there? Were
you following him? Roman Reigns, that's a party
even at a urinal. That's a beautiful, I'll
stop. No, no more, we're stuck, the hour's
over.
