Senate Republicans In DEEP PANIC As Election Plans Destroyed By Trump
Senate Republicans finally forced to speak out on consequences of Donald Trump's insane international attacks and domestic chaos as they feel their one big selling point for elections has been ruined by Trump. John Iadarola and Jayar Jackson break it down on The Damage Report. Leave a comment with your thoughts below!

told you this week at the White House, I met
a wonderful woman named Sharon Simmons, a grandmother
driving DoorDash to help support her husband's
cancer treatment. She's got serious cancer,
he's gonna be okay, I think. Sharon delivered
McDonald's to the Oval Office, was a little
[00:00:15]
bit of a, I mean, to be honest, a little tacky.
Yeah, it was tacky, not because of her, notably.
She did her job there, it was a photo op or
whatever. You made it terrible. You made it
terrible in the moment. You made it terrible
right here. The weird thing of acknowledging
[00:00:35]
that a senior citizen needs to do gig work to
help pay for cancer treatments. And then the
last functioning brain cell fires and says,
wait, this reflects poorly in our country.
I'll be fine. That's a little bit tacky. That's
a little bit weird. He's a freaking billionaire.
[00:00:53]
He could just write a check for whatever the
guy's treatment is. It would be a rounding
error on a day's interest on World Liberty Financial.
He'll be fine, whatever. He's a peasant. Maybe
he can go grub hub or something. So yeah, there's
a lot of tackiness to go around. But that sort
[00:01:10]
of messaging that you just saw right there,
just constant terrible messaging never on topic.
that's concerning some of the people who would
like the midterms to not go horribly for the
Republicans. And so one Senate Republican told,
notice, it's very concerning. This they're
[00:01:27]
talking about how Trump keeps calling the bill
last year, the one big beautiful bill when
that's not what people think it is. And it sort
of keeps sticking a thumb in their eye when
you keep calling it that when the reputation
for the bill is so poor at this point. Senator
goes on to say, my God, look at the polling
numbers. pointing out that the slogan for the
[00:01:47]
bill, a gear towards working class families
is pulling much higher. Basically, that's a
continuation of the like, know like what Zorn
is doing? Like maybe we should try to do that.
And Trump just kept undercutting it by saying
that it was like a hoax or whatever. Yeah,
they say we've got to be pitch perfect to protect
our incumbents and we're not even singing in
[00:02:06]
the same tongue right now, let alone having
people singing from the same hymn books. So
like I think I get what he's saying there.
I don't understand. The tongue stuff, I don't
know, these are very weird people, never forget
that. And Senator Mike Rounds points out that
[00:02:22]
the war is concerning a lot of voters saying
it's something that we want to be focused on.
Unfortunately, world events have kind of taken
over on it, saying that Iran is distracting
from the economic messaging that they need to
do. And Susie Wiles, who might not even be
around that much longer, she brought dozens
of top GOP operatives from multiple states
[00:02:39]
to attend an urgent closed door summit in DC.
And a source with knowledge of the plans there
said, The meeting comes amid a wider push to
quote intensified preparations in a challenging
midterm cycle, providing consultants with an
opportunity to share data and strategy on how
best to support candidates ahead of the midterms.
normally, you'd want the president to be on
[00:03:00]
board to help out actively, but instead they're
like, what is he going to do to gas prices
next week? What horrible apocalyptic thing is
he going to say? You just you can't go a
week without him doing something that makes
him and the party that he heads look like absolute
[00:03:16]
ghouls and weirdos, JR. And yeah, so bring
your consultants together. The issue is that
Donald Trump still exists. What do you think?
It's the separation from it. What really stuck
out was I believe was Mike Rounds. um And he
said, these world events have derailed us.
[00:03:32]
I wonder how those things got started. It's
weird, these randomly the situation in Iran
that just kind of exploded in front of us.
It's hurting our chances. We have to find a
way to recoup our people, get folks back
in the limelight, maybe get some positive news
[00:03:49]
coverage. We're in the same breath. I don't
know if he specifically has done this, but
I'm sure people have complained about the situations
that they find themselves in. We'll go right
back to, if anyone asked them about this war
in Iran that started out of nowhere, they'd
go right back to saying everything that Donald
Trump is doing in Iran is perfect. I've never
[00:04:05]
seen anything done so well in my life. Well,
bro, how do you expect? recoup your chances
if you keep on falling behind the same thing
that got you in this situation in the first
place. These are grown ass adults. These are
people that have run campaigns way longer and
way more efficiently than Donald Trump ever
did. But they're falling behind him and everything
[00:04:22]
that he does. And they still openly, for some
reason, why would you even speak to this outlet
and say something like that when everyone knows
that that doesn't make any sense? Why do you
keep doing the thing that you're complaining
about? Either stop complaining or stop doing
it. Which one is it, man? oh Or how about this,
JR? How about this? Rather than like you as
[00:04:42]
a senator, you're a senator, say, my God, this
war stuff's really hurting us. What could we
put in an ad? Here's an idea. Do something.
You're a senator. You're supposed to be the
one controlling this. You guys keep voting down
the option. You don't wanna be dragged down
[00:05:01]
by Donald Trump. Let go of him. You got a white
knuckle grip on his nutsack and you're being
dragged down, down, down, down where the Titanic
goes. Let go. Take control of the war, put
limitations on it. Force Donald Trump to come
in, give them some tough questioning for Pete
[00:05:21]
Hegsith or something. There's so much you could
actually do. And instead you're like, well,
I mean, it's gotten bad. You know how bad it's
gotten? I'm kind of whining to a reporter about
it. You're a freaking senator. supposed to whine,
that's the best I can do. You can vote and
[00:05:36]
stuff. But it's not even, it's not going to
happen. Any other thoughts? No, that's it.
