Elon Musk To FINALLY Face Consequences
Elon Musk is finally facing consequences as he gets kicked off of APEC CEO summit hearing and Tesla gets rocked by serious backlash following Musk's blatantly antisemitic comments on X. John Iadarola and Brett Erlich break it down on The Damage Report.

Following his agreement with a shockingly
anti-Semitic tweet earlier this week,
Elon Musk is actually facing some
consequences for his actions.
If you're not familiar with the tweet,
we're just gonna briefly show you,
it involves saying that Jewish communities
push hatred against whites and
[00:00:16]
that they don't get that blah, blah,
blah, replacement theory
is gonna ruin everything.
It's just, it's a lot of stuff all
at once, and to that, rando's tweet,
Elon Musk, the richest man in the world,
said, you have said the actual truth.
He had to go out of his way to find
the tweet of a person who isn't anybody,
[00:00:34]
it's just a random person on Twitter and
say, yes, Jewish people push dialectical
hatred against whites, but anyway,
some people are pushing for consequences.
You have the co-founder of Facebook,
Dustin Moskovitz who called on him to
step down, not just from Twitter, but
[00:00:51]
from everything, remember,
he is the CEO of six different companies.
Obviously, he's doing a lot
of work every day and
bringing value to those companies I
don't think that that's going to happen.
But what has happened is that
he has lost his opportunity to
speak at the APEC Summit
that's gonna be coming up,
[00:01:08]
it's the Asia Pacific Economic
Cooperation Summit, so
they have decided not to
bring him on to that.
And one of his big longtime investors
in Tesla, Ross Gerber tweeted,
getting a flood of messages from
clients wanting out of Tesla and
anything to do with Elon Musk, many saying
they're selling their cars as well.
[00:01:26]
What is he doing to the Tesla brand?
Ross Gerber also had,
I believe it was a model Y, yes and
says that he's going to replace it with
a Rivian, another electric vehicle.
So I don't know exactly why it
has taken to this point for
those people to grow
concerned about Elon Musk and
[00:01:44]
his state of mind, but
maybe this will finally break through.
We're gonna have more from that
investor in a sec, but Brett,
what do you make of this, I never got your
initial thoughts about him and his tweet?
>> Speaker 2: It's pretty amazing to me I
really love Elon Musk just deciding it's
[00:02:02]
cool to wait in on this and
then seeing how many people still are,
like this guy is a genius,
this guy is brilliant.
And it's still the same people that are
all like, the do your research crowd that
[00:02:17]
don't do a single lick of research
into any of the claims being made.
I love that it's like this dialectical
hatred against whites that
they claim to want people to stop using
against them, just like decoding that.
[00:02:32]
When you see terms like
dialectical hatred against whites,
that is like the douchebag
in your philosophy class,
explicitly referencing one school
of subthought within whatever
[00:02:48]
chapter they're all reading that he's
gonna forget about in two weeks.
That is insider lingoism to kind
of borrow the way that they talk,
that's lingoism as a way to kind
of stip your hat to figurative
[00:03:05]
tribalism within the Internet, so
you are just talking to people there.
And for me, you're not responsible
necessarily for what everybody else says
to your ideas, but it is a good indicator
of who you're hanging out with.
[00:03:21]
There are so many explicitly
hateful anti-Semitic tweets and
memes following this interaction,
and if you're Elon Musk,
maybe you would take a second
to just step back and be like,
whoa, whoa, whoa hold on a second.
[00:03:37]
And I think all of this talk at a certain
point just gets super victimy for
absolutely no reason, Elon Musk being
like, my God, it sucks that I'm such
a victim in this situation, and, you
guys need to know that you're a victim.
It's like there's no ideas being
exchanged at that point anyway,
[00:03:53]
it's just people trying to get you to
feel bad for them, and it's useless.
And it's exactly the same kind of
uselessness that's actually better if you
take that same energy and put it towards
finding fun cat videos on the Internet, or
finding an actual community of people
that play pickleball with you,
[00:04:09]
just go do that instead.
>> Speaker 1: And
with the resources he has,
you could input literally any activity,
and he could do it.
So really guys, it's pretty clear but just
to be clear, you find his tweet to be in
the realm of as unacceptable
as the way I've portrayed it,
I never know where we're gonna disagree.
[00:04:25]
>> Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah it's just stupid,
it's like I could get into against quote,
whites, it's like anytime
you talk about whites,
just know that that's a Venn
diagram that grows and
shrinks based on what you're
trying to argue for at the time.
[00:04:42]
And that goes all the way back to
Ben Franklin saying that Germans
weren't white.
It's just like, so often that thing just
disappears and turns into mush, and then
people will tell you that Jews are all
white, but unless they wanna kill them.
And then it's like the white just they
completely ignore the fact that there's
[00:04:59]
all kinds of Jewish people, and
there's colorism within the Jewish
community as well, we can get into all
that, but no one really wants to, right?
You don't wanna do that, you just
wanna say yes, like and subscribe and
give money to my grift,
that's all people want anyway.
[00:05:15]
So I don't know if I need to dignify the
rest of that conversation with facts amid
the stupidity.
