FUMING Racist Tears Down Street Vendor's Stand
- 3 minutes
[00:00:15]
Yeah, one moment.
[FOREIGN] Let's go, man.
Hey, no, problem.
>> Move your.
>> Yeah, come on.
No.
Yeah.
>> Speaker 3: They told you you couldn't.
>> Speaker 2: Yeah, no problem, man.
>> Speaker 2: Hey,
let me show you something else.
>> Speaker 2: Yeah.
Hey, no, throw.
[00:00:31]
>> Do you see the sign?
Yeah.
>> Speaker 2: Do you see the sign?
>> Speaker 2: Yeah.
No touch.
No touch.
Yeah.
No touch.
Yeah.
[FOREIGN].
[00:00:49]
>> Speaker 1: You listen.
>> Speaker 3: Put up
the picture full mass.
Very sad that individuals like this
routinely attempt to dehumanize others.
[00:01:10]
Now, by the narrative,
this is not his property,
which also means that if anything,
let's say there's some
type of code violation.
He does not have the right
of citizens arrest.
[00:01:26]
He does not have the right to destroy the
personal property of another human being.
He does not have these rights.
The criminal act is him.
He's destroying property.
He's taking the law into his own hands,
but he believes he is right,
[00:01:46]
not simply because someone is vending,
but because of who they are.
You have to remember the origin or
the catalyst of the hate.
This is just a physical expression of it.
[00:02:04]
Naturally, nobody deserves
to be treated this way.
It looks as if this male Karen is
literally destroying the livelihood of
two human beings.
When do we get to a point in
life where we can engage in
such adverse behavior to try
to cripple another person,
[00:02:23]
to harm them in a way that's hard for
them to come back because
you just disagree with the way
they transact as a vendor.
They're not bothering you.
There's a 1800 number,
I'm sure you could call it.
It's called code enforcement.
[00:02:41]
All right, Ms. Khan, thoughts here?
>> Speaker 4: Yeah.
I mean, I wonder if it was worth it for
this guy.
I don't understand why people just
can't mind their own business.
But I guess that's one of the hallmarks
of being a Karen, isn't it?
They just can't let people live.
This guy suffered a consequence for
his actions,
[00:02:56]
though he did get hit with a felony
charge, which he clearly wasn't expecting.
But we love to see it.
We love to see the accountability.
People need to know that it's not
okay to act this way toward others.
And they need to realize that they cannot
control the behavior of absolutely
everyone around them.
[00:03:12]
It always seems to me that people who
act this way do so because they're so
desperate for control in their own
lives and they don't have any.
And it makes them angry and
it makes them act out in this way.
So maybe it was a lesson learned.
>> Speaker 3: Possibly.
I wouldn't hold my breath.
>> Speaker 4: Best case scenario?
[00:03:27]
>> Speaker 3: Best case scenario.
There you go.
