Country Singer Called Out For Racist History After CMT Pulls Controversial Video

Country Music Television (CMT) is no longer airing Jason Aldean's music video "Try That In A Small Town." The song's lyrics have racial overtones, gun violence, and lynching sentiments. Also, the video was shot at the Maury County Courthouse in Columbia, Tennessee, where a Black man named Henry Choate, 18, was lynched in 1927. In addition, the site is also infamous for the Columbia Race Riot that occurred in 1946.
