The Democratic Party has failed the American people. So we decided to change it from the inside. On January 23, 2017, Cenk Uygur and 11 other progressive leaders founded the Justice Democrats, a political action committee dedicated to electing progressives to Congress.

Since its founding, the organization has worked tirelessly to fight corporate influence in The Democratic Party by running primary challengers against corrupt, out-of-touch Democratic incumbents and replacing them with non-corrupt progressives that take ZERO corporate PAC money and fight for progressive issues such as income inequality, Medicare for All, climate change, free public college, social injustice, and more!

Justice Democrats gained national attention for successfully backing candidates like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar, who have since become prominent voices within the Democratic Party advocating for bold, progressive reforms. Other incumbents, also known as “The Squad,” include Ro Khanna, Rashida Tlaib, Cori Bush, Ayanna Pressley, Raúl Grijalva, Delia Ramirez, Jamaal Bowman, Summer Lee, Greg Casar, and Pramila Jayapal.
