TikTok’s future in the US has never been more at threat than it is right now.

Over the last few months alone, Republicans and Democrats have rallied behind legislation barring TikTok from operating in the U.S. claiming–with little to no evidence–that the app is “a tool” of the Chinese government.

But we all know the real issue: Republicans and their establishment Democrat partners HATE that TikTok gives progressives and oppressed people a real voice.

Congress trying to ban TikTok is not only unconstitutional but is also just patently absurd for a number of reasons.

For starters, TikTok has 150 million monthly active individual users and has evolved into the preferred platform for nearly 5 million businesses seeking expansion and success, including countless small businesses.

Also, 59 percent of Americans between the ages of 18-to-34 use TikTok, and the app’s user base is also more likely to be female, non-white, and to have lower incomes. All of this could make banning the app a major political blow to progressives and even Democrats as a whole.

We can’t allow Congress to engage in the biggest example of cancel culture we’ve seen in history! It’s time to fight back and stand up for our freedom of speech!
