"Twitter users want to find out why it appears as if right-wing users are experiencing a surge in new followers while left-wing users are seeing the opposite.
In a thread on Tuesday, software developer Christopher Bouzy shared statistics suggesting that users had either lost or gained followers based on their political leanings.
“Over the past 24 hours, Democrats have experienced a significant decrease in followers, while Republicans have experienced a significant increase in followers,” Bouzy wrote."
