The Imagen Awards was established in 1985 by television producer Norman Lear, to encourage and recognize the positive portrayals and creative achievements of Latinos in television and film. The Imagen Awards, often referred to as the Latino Golden Globes by the Hollywood community, attracts major entertainment leaders as well as celebrities.
