The town of Shawnee, Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, unanimously voted to ban co-living, supposedly in response to the landlord and renting industry. The law outlaws more than four unrelated adults living together that split the rent to keep costs low as housing prices are always on the rise and wages haven’t changed.
