The Supreme Court had decided to uphold Texas’ ban on abortions with the condition that Texas abortion providers are allowed to challenge the state law in federal courts. Although the Supreme Court disappointingly did not curtail the law completely, they have given significant power to lower courts to decide the ultimate fate of the law.
