Red States like Tennessee are moving more and more money out of public education funding, opting to give the funding to private charter schools through vouchers and other means of fund diversion. The privatization of education has long been underway as the right-wing has been chipping away at teacher unions, panic over CRT, and more recently, the accusations that LGBT teachers are ‘grooming’ children to be gay in public schools.
