While progressive Democrats continue to push for the federal minimum wage to be increased to $15 per hour, Seantor Joe Manchin (D-VW) had been vehemently opposed to the legislation. The $15 minimum wage provision was originally slated to go in the Covid relief bill. It passed the Democratic version of that bill passed in the House, but then Manchin and Senator Kristen Sinema (D-Az) blatantly shot it down.

Unfortunately, a lot of Democrats and the mainstream media treat it as fate, and say there’s nothing we could do. But Cenk Uygur says, "Now we can fight it." So Rebel PAC decided to make a video about it, to call the Senator out.

"Let's ram that ad down Manchin's throat until he says 'no mas, no mas,'" said Uygur.

"You know if we make the Senate's wages minimum wage, $15 will be a joke. So let’s cut his wages," Uygur explains.

"What the ad importantly touches on is the clear disconnect between American workers and the very politicians who are supposed to be serving their best interests. When you have these business investments, when you're invested in stocks, and you're a senator who has access to closed door intelligence briefings on what’s likely going to impact the economy, you should not be in any way involved," says Ana Kasparian.

"We’re seeing the ramifications of it right now as Manchin is working against the best interests of the people, against the best interests of workers in order to enrich himself and ensure he gets the highest rate of return on his own personal investments," she explains.
