One of Vladimir Putin’s main justifications for invading and starting war with Ukraine is the “de-Nazification” of the Ukrainian people. Although it’s true that there are white nationalist and neo-NAzi movements within Ukraine, i.e. the Azov Battalion, the movement is incredibly fringe and lacks any real, tangible power in the country, making Putin’s claims even more farcical than they already are.
