Republican Clay Higgins humiliates the entire room as he melts down over Donald Trump supporter conspiracy over 'ghost buses' at Jan. 6 during official hearing with FBI director Christopher Wray. John Iadarola and Mondale Robinson break it down on The Damage Report.
- 4 minutes
>> Speaker 1: You know what
a ghost vehicle is, director?
Director of the FBI certainly should,
you know what a ghost bus is?
>> Speaker 1: A ghost bus?
>> Speaker 1: Ghost bus.
>> Speaker 2: I'm not sure
I've used that term before.
>> Speaker 1: Okay,
it's pretty common in law enforcement.
It's a vehicle that's used for
[00:00:19]
secret purposes.
>> Speaker 2: That is
Representative Clay Higgins trying to
speak to the head of the FBI,
Christopher Wray about ghost buses,
which is a very common
term in law enforcement.
What he means is conspiracy
theorist circles online.
[00:00:37]
I don't know the point he's trying to
make, let's see if he can explain it.
>> Speaker 1: These two
buses in the middle here,
they were the first to arrive at
Union Station on January 6, 0500.
I have all this evidence, I'm showing
you a tip of this iceberg, Mr. Chairman.
These two buses-
>> Mr. Chairman.
[00:00:53]
>> Painted completely white.
>> Speaker 2: Point of order.
>> Speaker 1: There's a very
significant hearing, Mr. Chairman, and
these buses are nefarious in nature and
were filled with FBI informants
dressed as Trump supporters and
deployed onto our Capitol on January 6.
[00:01:11]
Your day is coming, Mr. Wray.
>> Speaker 2: Okay, so it is fairly clear,
if you've been following this
what he is trying to say.
He is saying that the FBI bust in
a bunch of informants dressed like
Trump supporters on January 6 and
something he's not saying.
[00:01:28]
They tried to get him on the record saying
that he is saying that the FBI caused
the violence on January 6 and he won't
do that because that's utterly insane,
but I would have a separate question for
him.
What would it matter if they were?
I mean, you guys say that nothing
that happened there was bad.
[00:01:45]
They were just patriots,
they were just expressing themselves.
Tucker Carlson said he watched all
the footage and it was barely violent,
so what's the difference
if it was the FBI?
But anyway, that's what's
supposed to pass for evidence.
He has a photo of buses and that's
supposed to convince everyone that it was
filled with hundreds of big,
burly FBI informants.
[00:02:02]
I honestly don't know.
Mondale, what do you think?
>> Speaker 3: Listen,
these people are telling you
not to believe your lying eyes.
The very thing you saw on January
6 on everybody's live TV was
the exact thing we hate Cuba for,
a revolution, attempt coup and
[00:02:19]
I'm confused at what
they're trying to tell us.
Either those police officers died as a
response to what happened on January 6 or
they didn't.
Try making this case to their families.
Try making the case to the family of
the officers who lost their life,
[00:02:39]
because of what happened on
the Capitol on January 6.
And of the people arrested because
we had video footage of them
in the Capitol acting violently and
doing other stuff that we
wouldn't even talk about,
it's disgusting to talk about.
[00:02:57]
Why aren't any of them being arrested,
all of these informants?
Where are the pictures
of these informants?
The people we're picking
up are just Trump people.
They had Trump flags,
they've been to Trump rallies.
Their social media platform,
their households are all Trump.
They had Trump material everywhere.
[00:03:12]
These are not in FBI informants.
These are Republican folk,
these are your people.
It went from Antifa to FBI informants and
the fact that you're sitting talking to
the FBI director about something that
happened on conspiracy theory and
then you send him a message and
you know what you said, John.
[00:03:29]
This is what he said, your day is coming.
To us and civil people,
we may think that was a warning
about your legal day is coming.
But to the people that
showed up on January 6,
the people that have been
threatening FBI agents,
that is a completely different message and
it's dangerous as hell.
[00:03:47]
>> Speaker 2: You're right,
he did say that.
He also went on to say,
when we get Trump back in the White House,
these guys are in a bind again.
It was literally years ago.
By the way,
I don't rule out the possibility
that the FBI does stuff like this.
I would say it didn't seem like that was
a mob that needed to be instigated and
[00:04:06]
let's say that you were an FBI
informant that was bossed in
despite the lack of evidence
to rile up the crowd.
You must have felt like it was like
a half day when you get there and
the crowd that you're supposed to inspire
to attempt a coup goes to a series
[00:04:23]
of speeches from Trump, and Giuliani, and
others telling them to go down there,
and break up the proceed.
Even if that's what they were there to do,
they didn't have to do it because there
were countless speakers desperately
trying to get them to do that.
Did they erect the gallows?
[00:04:40]
Did they chant that
Mike Pence needed to hang?
Again, it's just such utter nonsense.
