The Young Turks: October 09, 2014

Ana joins Cenk for SCS. Police Brutality block: New protests have erupted in St. Louis after another young Black man was shot and killed by police. Citizens claim that the situation was similar to the Michael Brown case, but the police’s story claims that the suspect shot at the police before he was shot down. Cenk and Ana aren’t sure that this isn’t what the police say it is. Another case of police force in NC had police called to the scene at a house where a Black kid entered. When he explained to police that he lived there, they didn’t believe him because pictures on the wall had White people, so they tasered him. Cenk wants to give the cops some level of credit. The parents of a 17 year old kid are suing the NYPD after they confronted him for smoking weed when it was actually a cigarette. The video shows an officer knock the kid out while he was already on the ground. Fox News’ Outnumbered spoke about young people voting, and they were openly against them voting at all. Amanda Bynes has been released from treatment under her mentor, and she’s back on social media, getting into fights with people. Now that the attacks are back in full force, Nick Cannon has come out to defend her and her mental health issues. Researchers are still trying to figure out if women really do have a G-Spot. One spoke out that it simply doesn’t exist. Cenk is dubious about the study, and goes on to say that he simply isn’t buying it. Ana compares it to the assertion that all women can squirt. While showing pictures of a clitoris and a penis, Cenk notices that they are shockingly similar, just that the penis is outside rather than inside. Cenk and Iadarola host TYT. Rep. Duncan Hunter has declared to Greta Van Susteren that 10 ISIS fighters were caught crossing the southern border by border patrol. Hunter's claims and DHS Secretary’s response that there is no validity to the claims are played in a video clip. An Oklahoma state Rep. told constituents at a townhall meeting that all of Islam is radical and that some won’t even speak out against the murderous religion. Videos of his hateful speech are shown. Cenk dispels the charges the claims that he’s a biased Muslim. Talk about why Muslim radicals feel that they need to be violent in modern times follows. Comparisons to other religions that became violent when they had no power are made. Fox News’ Outnumbered took on Harvard students’ answer about which is a greater threat to world peace, America or ISIS. Videos of the panel bashing them for being smart, unpatriotic, and anti-military are played. Wisconsin Attorney General candidate, Brad Schimel spoke with a local broadcast about how he would have no place putting himself in the middle of anti-marriage laws. Video of him saying he wouldn’t have done anything about the banning of interracial marriage back in the ‘50s is reviewed. Cenk and John can’t blame him too much for playing it as the AG, not a legislator. It has been revealed that NBC News reached out to Jon Stewart for the Meet the Press position, but he turned it down despite the “Brinks truck” of money they offered him.
