The Young Turks: September 30, 2014

Ana joins Cenk for SCS. An Iowa couple leaves a huge tip for terrible service at a sushi restaurant. The couple had worked in the service industry at one time and recognized that the server was having a rough night and they wanted to pay their goodwill forward. Cenk is skeptical.  Ana discusses the law-suit that Tracy Morgan recently opened against Wal-Mart after getting rear ended by an overworked driver.  Wal-Mart shot back saying that it was Tracy Morgan’s fault after forgetting to buckle his seatbelt.  Cenk fires back saying that Wal-Mart is not interested in changing their policies because they do not mind bad PR.  Keep prices low and keep the money rolling in. Ana shows a chart of a 52% drop in America’s wildlife population since 1970.  Cenk combats that he is in the middle on this issue. He likes meat and doesn’t want to go back to "hippie times," but there is obviously a better way to co-exist with our environment.  Ana talks about Kansas City Chief’s Husain Abdullah’s penalty for praying after a touchdown.  Ana & Cenk both agree this was excessive.  Ana discusses Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s story about getting caught stealing gay porn and coming out to his father three times before he eventually understood.  Cenk reminisces about the day he stole porn with his brother as his younger turk self.  Ana talks about the recent decision of the DOJ to not have the police wear bracelets with Darren Wilson's name on it.  Cenk agrees that this shows little remorse from the Furguson Police Department.  Ana discusses the newly formed California Fair Sentencing Act and how long it took to be put into effect.  Cenk and Ana point out how this was originally put into effect because Crack Cocaine was used by minorities.  Ana says that most drug laws put into effect were due to similar circumstances. Cenk hosts TYT. President Obama underestimated/overestimated the ISIS and Khorasan threat.  The explanation is merely an excuse to bomb Syria. After a man jumped the White House fence and breeched the mansion itself a congressional hearing was called for. The hearing about the security breech led to both sides agreeing that the proper force would have been to kill the man. In response, Cenk recalls the incident where a toddler breeched the White House fence and that a shoot to kill policy would definitely have been a horrible mistake.  Oklahoma “Angry Employee’s” shooter is praised for his gun use on Fox News, and touts “more guns=less violence”.  In other news, Judge Napolitano dyes his hair. Cenk shows statistics to prove that the US has more violence as a result of more guns. Louisiana restaurant owner gives a discount for anyone who visits his restaurant in possession of a gun.  Bill Maher and Reza Aslan engage in a catfight over Maher’s statement against Islam's treatment of women.  Aslan fights back and proves that Maher and others are just painting a religion of 1.8 Million people with a single brush. Eric Cantor loses the primary and moves to a Wall Street Investment Bank after getting encouragement from Jamie Dimon, the head of J.P. Morgan.  This is not the first time that he had “sold out”. He has put Billions of dollars in investors pockets like Dimon before and many times in the past.  Letting a billion dollar corporation like this buy cheap “Bagmen” like Cantor is allowing corporations to take over the government.  However, we can make a difference by going to Wolf-PAC.com!  Robert Zimmermen learns to “use the shit you got” from the Kardashians after a revealing article he did for GQ.  He goes into details about how he still carries a concealed firearm even after already killing Trayvon Martin.
