Adrienne Lawrence

As an award-winning on-air commentator and accomplished attorney, Adrienne Lawrence engages audiences across platforms as a host and legal analyst. The former big law litigator combines her talents as the host of “Overruled,” a new TYT digital segment where she shares rarely known legal insight on the latest news, adding her own flavor and leaving behind the unnecessary legalese.

What can we say? Adrienne isn’t your typical attorney.

Bold candor and unique intellect earned Adrienne the designation of being among Take the Lead’s Top 50 Women Who Can Change Journalism in 2020. She’s also among the Women’s Media Center’s Progressive Women’s Voices of 2018. That same year, SheMedia honored Adrienne with a Voice of The Year Award alongside activist Tarana Burke and others.

Despite her many accolades and savvy wit, this California-born gamechanger does more than just talk. Adrienne also empowers the everyday and the exceptional professional with entertaining and candid advice—like that in her new book “Staying in the Game: The Playbook for Beating Workplace Sexual Harassment.” Adrienne’s first-of-its-kind business survival guide, published by Penguin Random House, was heralded as “[a] highly readable and informative introduction to managing workplace harassment” (Kirkus Reviews).

When she’s not breaking down trending legal issues or furiously tweeting about gender and racial parity problems, Adrienne's consulting with companies seeking to make meaningful change and engaging crowds at places like SXSW and UC Berkeley.

But no matter which hat she’s wearing, Adrienne’s goal is simple: to advocate for equality through game-changing content that enlightens and empowers exceptional individuals and thought-leaders.

Adrienne has an M.A. from the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, an M.A. from John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY), and a B.S. from Cal State Sacramento. Although she’s lived nearly everywhere and loves to travel the world, Adrienne has nothing but California Love running through her veins. Picture her rollin’.
