TYT Breaks Through as Fourth News Network Leading into the 2020 Election

-TYT continues to dominate as #1 most engaged news & politics network- -Crossed half a billion video views in June across all digital platforms-

Second quarter viewership and engagement were strong for TYT despite a transition to a complete work-from-home setup and stripped down broadcast. Viewership doubled in the past three months as a result of coverage around the coronavirus and justice-related stories. And June was a record-setting month for TYT and partner channels in video views. According to historical data, TYT’s YouTube viewership for June was the highest in three years.

In recent months, TYT hosted conversations with Sen. Bernie Sanders, Jamaal Bowman, Ben Jealous, Dolores Huerta, Ben Crump, Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, and continued its coverage of primary elections in New York, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.

"We have been here since the beginning of social media,” said TYT founder and host Cenk Uygur. “TYT was the first partner channel for YouTube. We have helped influence Millennials and Gen Z to become the most progressive generations we have ever had in this country. And now having doubled our views and being at the top of all social media rankings, I'm so proud that we are emerging on every platform as the fourth news network. It's about time Americans who are progressive got a voice!”
